2021 has blessed us with awesome Kpop girl groups like PURPLE KISS, IVE, and Rocking Doll, it’s now time for us to welcome newer girl groups. Here is a list of some Kpop girl groups to debut (and speculated to debut) in 2022 – who’s your favorite? Vote at the end of the article!
Kpop Girl Groups to Debut in 2022
1. LALA GIRLS
Unlike other Kpop girl groups that will debut in 2022, LALA GIRLS (라라걸스) is a trot girl group under Soonsu Dance Academy. The three members, Nina, Star.☆H and Rody, are experienced in dance and ballet. LALA GIRLS brings back the concept of retro style/90s Kpop in their debut mini album ‘Dimwit.’
2. Kep1er
Kep1er (케플러), also stylized as Kepler, is a 9-piece Kpop girl group under WAKEONE and Swing Entertainment. The members were formed through the survival show Girls Planet 999. Kep1er consists of Yujin, Mashiro, Xiaoting, Chaehyun, Dayeon, Hikaru, Huening Bahiyyih, Youngeun, and Yeseo. Kep1er officially debuted on January 3, 2022, with their mini album ‘FIRST IMPACT’ and title track ‘WA DA DA.’

3. H1-KEY
H1-KEY (하이키) debuted on January 5, 2022, with 1st single album ‘[Athletic Girl]’ and the title track with the same name. The 4-piece group under Grandline Group consists of Seoi, Sitala, Riina, and Yel. Despite the controversy over the member, H1-KEY is sure to be one of the most favorite Kpop girl groups debuting in 2022.
4. GOT The Beat
The freshly-formed supergroup under SM Entertainment, GOT The Beat (걸스온탑), has gained lots of attention despite the controversy they had. The female supergroup consists of BoA, Girls’ Generation Taeyeon, Girls’ Generation Hyoyeon, Red Velvet Seulgi, Red Velvet Wendy, aespa Karina, and aespa Winter. GOT The Beat is actually a unit of SM Entertainment girl group project, Girls on Top.
5. D-art
D-art (디아트) is a Kpop girl group consisting of Eunsu, Yu1l, Hwanhee, and PiA and debut on January 7, 2022, with ‘Cinderella.’ The group was formed through a competition, DIMA K-Pop Season 1, hosted by Dong-ah Institute of Media and Arts (DIMA).
6. NMIXX
Previously known as the JYPn girl group, Lily, Haewon, Sullyoon, Jinni, BAE, Jiwoo, and Kyujin now have an official group name: NMIXX. The group released an enchanting debut photos and trailer video in January 27. The 7-piece Kpop girl group under JYP Entertainment will debut in February 22, 2022 with ‘AD MARE’ and title song ‘OO‘ at 6 pm on February 22.
7. BLAZE
In 2022, we will also have a new duo, BLAZE. The duo under BLAZE Entertainment consists of Saeha and Haena. They used to be in the same dance team since 2019 and announced to debut as a duo on January 28, 2022, with ‘Funny Game.’

8. BABYMONSTERS
Talking about new Kpop girl group, we have been waiting for this BABYMONSTERS (베이비 몬스터즈) since 2021. The group under Shining Star Culture (a subsidiary of YG Entertainment) is sure to be one of the most favorite KPop girl groups if they really debut in 2022.
9. 05Class
A 7-piece Kpop girl group that plans to debut in 2022 (previously planned to debut in 2021) is 05Class (05클라쓰) under JPlanet Entertainment. As its name, the concept of the group is a class of young girls born in 2005. Currently, 05Class consists of Geumhee, Sua, Seoyeon, Yeham, Duna, Gaeun, and Sona.
10. VIVIZ
VIVIZ (비비지) consists of 3 former GFRIEND members: SinB, Eunha, and Umji. The new Kpop girl group under BPM Entertainment plans to debut on February 2022 with the mini album ‘Beam of Prism.’
11. ILY:1
The new Kpop girl group ILY:1 (아일리원) plans to debut on March 2022. The 6-piece group under FCENM Entertainment consists of Hana, Rona, Ririka, Nayu, Ara and Elva.
12. Yes IM Entertainment Girl Group
Although it has no official name yet, Yes IM Entertainment girl group plans to debut on March-April 2022. The only confirmed member now is Yoon Jia, a contestant in Girls Planet 999, but eliminated in episode 8.
13. ZeroSix
LIZ Entertainment plans to debut its new Kpop girl group in the second half of 2022. The group, ZeroSix (제로식스), is a 5-piece girl group consisting of Xindy, Byeolha, Yehwa, SeoA, and Davin. They released a pre-debut carol, ‘White Christmas Fall in Love’ on December 18, 2020. However, on December 19, 2021, all members except Xindy decided to halt all activities due to personal and internal reasons.
14. MLD Girls
MLD Girls (temporary name) is an upcoming girl group under MLD Entertainment. The group currently consists of two members, Shana and Chanty, and plans to debut in the first half of 2022.
Kpop girl groups who are SPECULATED to debut in 2022
SOURCE Music Girl Group
One of HYBE subsidiaries and former label of GFRIEND, SOURCE Music, seems to be ready to debut a new girl group in 2022. The group will consist of some contestants from their survival show, ‘Produce 48.’
HYBE x GEFFEN Girl Group
Previously announced in the ‘2021 HYBE Corporate Briefing with the Community,’ HYBE opens an audition for their girl group, collaborating with Geffen Records. The audition was closed in November 2021, and many fans expect the group to debut sometime in 2022
MAVE
MAVE, a 4-piece Kpop girl group under Metaverse Entertainment, is speculated to debut in 2022. However, they have yet to announce the group debut date as it is still in the early planning stage.
My Teenage Girl
My Teenage Girl is a survival show that premiered in 2021 to debut a 7-piece Kpop girl group. The show will have the finale in February 2022. Therefore, many fans expected the final lineup to debut sometime in 2022.
ADOR – Min Hee Jin’s Girl Group
HYBE has also announced its independent label called ‘ADOR’ headed by Min Hee Jin. The label has recruited members for the first girl group during ‘Plus Global Audition’ in 2019. It is said that ADOR is preparing to debut their first Kpop girl group in 2022.
