2PM Chansung has confirmed to star in a new rom-com drama with Park Sojin (Girls’ Day), Yoo In Na, Yoon Hyun Min, and Joo Sang Wook, “Sincere About Dating”. Here’s the complete update.
2PM Hwang Chansung Confirmed Appearance in New Drama with Girls’ Day Park Sojin
Member and maknae of 2nd gen Kpop group 2PM Hwang Chansung is slowly but surely building his reputation in the Korean filming industry. After previously showing how far his acting has remarkably improved in “So I Married an Anti-Fan” and “Show Window: The Queen’s House”, 2PM Hwang Chansung is back with another new rom-com drama, “Sincere About Dating” (working title).
On November 7, Korean media reported 2PM Hwang Chansung and his agency confirmed his role in “Sincere About Dating” new drama. He would most likely take on one of the second-lead roles in the drama, along with Park Sojin (Girls’ Day), who had previously confirmed her appearance as well.

“Sincere About Dating” Lead Roles: Yoo In Na, Joo Sang Wook, and Yoon Hyun Min
Furthermore, “Sincere About Dating” will tell the story of a female dating coach and a charming male partner. Set in a rom-com genre, the new drama depicts human stories of dating and everything related to it.
Unfortunately, 2PM Hwang Chansung and Girls’ Day Park Sojin won’t be the new drama main lead this time.
That is because previously in September, Korean media reported that their sunbae actors Yoo In Na, Joo Sang Wook, and Yoon Hyun Min would be the ones leading the drama,
Nevertheless, working with more experienced sunbaes will give time for both Chansung and Sojin to improve their acting experience. They will have time to hone their acting skills to become more mature regardless of the genre. That way, both Chansung and Sojin will be able to break out from idol-actor stereotypes and prove that they are worthy of becoming South Korea’s top idol actors and actresses.

Finally, “Sincere About Dating” is one of the top projects mentioned in the lineup release of South Korea’s dark horse of OTT platform, ENA.
Following their success of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, “Good Job”, and “Gaus Electronics”, ENA continues to surprise fans with wonderful projects.
The new drama starring Yoo In Na, Joo Sang Wook, Yoon Hyun Min, 2PM Hwang Chansung, and Girls’ Day Sojin has entered its production process. Reports stated that 2PM Chansung new drama, “Sincere About Dating” release date to be around first half of 2023.
On top of that, it’s also exhilarating to finally have Yoo In Na back as the main lead in the new drama. The last time she took the main role was in 2020 for “The Spies Who Loved Me”.
