Here Are the 36th Golden Disc Awards 2022 Winners

On January 8, the 36th Golden Disc Awards ceremony took place at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul. To prevent the COVID-19 spread, the event went offline with social distancing regulations and without audiences. So without further ado, here is the 36th Golden Disc Awards 2022 winners list.

The 36th Golden Disc Awards 2022 Winners

All the 36th Golden Disc Awards nominees were songs and albums released between November 2020 and mid-November 2021. To determine nominees for major categories, it used quantitative measures like streaming numbers and album sales.

The final winners were determined based on 60 percent of sales up to mid-December 2021 and 40 percent of scoring given by a panel of judges. The panel of judges consisted of 50 industry experts, like music journalists, music program producing directors, music critics, music distribution representatives, and the ceremony’s executive committee.

This year, the grand prizes of the 36th Golden Disc Awards in 2022 went to BTS and IU. In addition, BTS bagged the Album of the Year (Disc Daesang) for the fifth straight year, while IU took home the Digital Song of the Year (Digital Daesang) for the second consecutive year.
