The nominees for the 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards, set for 2025, have officially been announced. Notably, the popular Netflix Korean dramas “When Life Gives You Tangerines” and “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” are leading the pack with the most nominations. The 4th Blue Dragon Series Awards 2025 Nominees
Hosted by Sports Chosun, the Blue Dragon Series Awards is South Korea’s first awards ceremony dedicated to recognizing excellence in streaming content.
Nominees were chosen from dramas and variety shows released between June 1, 2024, and May 31, 2025. The selection process involved an initial round of online voting, evaluations by Sports Chosun entertainment reporters, and surveys from a panel of industry experts.
Leading the pack this year, the Netflix original K-drama series “When Life Gives You Tangerines” earned the most nominations with six, including nods for Best Drama, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Supporting Actor, and Best New Actor.
Close behind is the Netflix series “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call,” which secured five nominations, including Best Drama, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best New Actor, and Best New Actress.
Other notable contenders include “Family Matters” (also known as “Family Plan”) and “Karma” (also known as “Bad Relationship”), which both earned four nominations each. Additionally, several series, such as “Friendly Rivalry,” “The Queen Who Crowns,” “Hyper Knife,” “Your Honor,” “Way Back Love,” and “Gyeongseong Creature 2” received two nominations apiece.
Finally, a number of loved shows landed a single nomination. Most notably, “Squid Game 2” earned its nomination for Best Actor (Lee Byung Hun), while “Dongjae the Good or the Bastard,” “Weak Hero Class 2,” and “The Trunk” were also recognized.
In the variety show category, “SNL Korea Season 6, 7” demonstrated its enduring popularity by earning nominations at various major entertainment awards, including Best Male and Female Entertainer, as well as Best New Male and Female Entertainer.
