aespa Partnerships with American Creative Artists Agency in All Areas

aespa created partnerships with a US’ entertainment and sports company called Creative Artists Agency (CAA).

On July 22 local time, reports came from Pollstar that the American talent and sports agency has signed a deal with SM Entertainment’s Kpop girl group, aespa. Furthermore, the report also mentioned that the partnership will extend in all areas.

CAA has signed @aespa_official, SM Entertainment’s latest K-pop powerhouse girl group, in all areas.

Despite launching in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the group has already racked up over 100 million views on their debut “Black Mamba” video.https://t.co/XrurMB7Ak9 pic.twitter.com/0pYZ3671SW

Confirmation from SM Entertainment on aespa’s New Partnerships with Creative Artists Agency (CAA)

Few hours after the report circulated on the internet, an SM Entertainment executive, Jeremy Lopez, confirmed the news himself. He uploaded the news on his Instagram story with a caption “Did something special”, tagging aespa’s and CAA’s official Instagram accounts.

Will aespa Leave SM Entertainment?

Besides, according to the reports, aespa new partnerships with American Creative Artists Agency (CAA) will expand a whole new horizon for aespa’s career in the international market.

However, it doesn’t mean that aespa will leave SM Entertainment for good. In fact, SM Entertainment is also a client of the CAA itself. Therefore, SM is still the one managing aespa, while the American Creative Artists Agency will act as their international agent.

To be clear: this isn't a traditional record label that would, for example, put out aespa's music in the U.S., but an agency that will represent them and help navigate for new opportunities
