ARMY Wish BTS Suga to Get Well Soon after Shoulder Surgery

On November 6, Big Hit announced a statement about BTS Suga shoulder surgery to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder earlier this week. According to the statement, Min Yoongi or BTS Suga will be away from the group for his recovery.

Through the statement, Big Hit announced that Suga had shoulder surgery on November 2. “The surgery to address a problem that had constantly been a health and wellness issue for Suga was completed successfully, and he is currently resting and recovering following his physician’s advice that Suga must undergo a strict and unhindered period of recovery,” the agency wrote.

What is Wrong with Suga’s Shoulder?

The issue on BTS Suga’s shoulder had started in 2012 when he was injured in an accident. And in 2013, the doctor diagnosed him with a dislocated shoulder.

Since then, Suga often experienced pain until then found out in 2019 he had “posterior labral tear of his left shoulder.” It means that that the cartilage around his left shoulder joint has been torn.

With his condition, BTS Suga could hardly raise his arms high and suffered from sudden bouts of pain.

Various Treatments

It is also mentioned in the statement that BTS Suga has gone “through constant rehabilitation and treatment during his career, but unfortunately, his symptoms did not improve measurably. These symptoms have appeared with increasing frequency in recent years, affecting SUGA not only on the stage but in the course of his daily life as well.”

How is Suga’s Condition?

Based on Big Hit’s statement, “(Suga shoulder surgery) was completed successfully and he is currently resting and recovering following his physician’s advice that SUGA must undergo a strict and unhindered period of recovery.”

In addition to that, Big Hit also stated that Suga will be away from the group sometime and need to focus on his recovery. Unfortunately, it seems that Suga will also skip the upcoming BTS “BE” album promotional activities due to his condition.

“Once doctors determine that the site of the operation has healed sufficiently, SUGA will begin physical therapy so that he can ultimately return to the stage healthy and fully recovered,” wrote Big Hit.
