BTS ARMY Day: This Is How the World Celebrate 7 Years of Being ARMY

Happy BTS ARMY DAY, dear fellow ARMYs! BTS ARMY Forever!

As of July 9 2020, the BTS fans from around the world are celebrating the 7-year journey of ARMYs with BTS. They share fun, happiness, joy, love, and positivity in this important day of ARMY as well as BTS.

When is BTS ARMY DAY?

July 9, 2013, was a big day for the ARMYs. On that special day, BTS announced the name of their fandom after voting. The selected fandom name of BTS is ARMY, which is stands for “Adorable Representatives and MCs for Youth”.

Since then, the BTS ARMY around the world celebrates the birthday of BTS ARMY, or its called #ARMYday on July 9 every year. 

Don’t Get Confused With October 1st

Meanwhile, October 1 is not BTS ARMY DAY. But it is the Armed Forces Day of South Korea. Big Hits commemorates this day by giving a surprise event to BTS ARMY.

This year is the 7th year of BTS ARMY DAY. To usher the BTS ARMY DAY, the ARMYs have set some schedules.

• On the 7th, BTS ARMYs change their home screen (wallpaper) to gradient purple and post it on Weverse.

What to Do During the BTS ARMY DAY?

July 9 is the big day! BTS ARMY DAY is not only a celebration of the ARMY birthday, but it is also a day to spread positivity, unity, and love. Some of ARMYs share personal stories and even selcas (self cameras).

This year is the 7th BTS ARMY DAY. The BTS ARMY will release a song called “7 Reasons.” If you are a newbie in BTS ARMY DAY, here are the things that BTS ARMY do to celebrate on BTS ARMY DAY:

The full version is supposed to be released on July 9, at 12.00 am KST. But it has been announced that there will be a delay regarding technical issue.

Change Wallpaper

ARMYs change their wallpaper, gadget screensavers, and all the things into “BTS-related” things. Some of them use their original drawings, some use someone else’s drawing, and some other use purple wallpaper.

The ARMY quiz will be held on July 10. This is a session of questions and answers among the ARMYs that will be using a hashtag #FUNWITHARMY.

Though it is scheduled to be on July 10, some ARMYs make an early start by making their own quizzes.

On July 11, the ARMYs will share photos of the purple ocean (the BTS light sticks) from BTS concerts with a hashtag #PURPLEOCEANDAY.

Selca means self camera or selfie. BTS ARMY Selca Day always held on the first Tuesday (KST) of the month. ARMY Selca Day is when the BTS ARMY around the world post their bias photo.

One of the aims of the BTS ARMY Selca day is all about creativity. The ARMYs share their photos and their bias photos by using a theme. It can be fun and funny, like copying the pose of their bias or put their photos close to their bias with a fun theme.

On ARMY Selca Day, it’s not only about showing how much they love their bias but also to show how much they love themselves and be confident. Let’s take a look at some of the #ARMYSELCADAY
