BTS Member Kim Seokjin also known as BTS Jin, has chosen to be the new face of one of the oldest instant noodle brands in Korea, Ottogi Jin Ramen. However, just a day after the Jin Ramen commercial films featuring BTS Jin was out, many stores ran out of stock, and the demand for the halal product increased.

In 2016, BTS Jin was having his show “Eat Jin” with other BTS members, Jimin, Jungkook, and V. At that time, he had shown his love for noodles with a name close to his own. In addition, he said that he would like to be a model for them one day.

Then, on October 25, Jin hinted at his collaboration with Ottogi Jin Ramen on Weverse. He said, “My wish after debuting was to shoot a Jin Ramen commercial.”
A Dream Come True as “Jin Ramen” Brand Ambassador
On November 8, Ottogi shared a post on its Instagram regarding Jin Ramen with an intriguing caption:
“Do you like Jin Ramen?” + = Ottogi Jin Ramen that is always true to taste November 11 Friday Coming Soon!”
And on November 9, 2022, South Korean food manufacturing company Ottogi announced BTS member Jin (Kim Seokjin) as the newest brand ambassador for “Jin Ramen.” BTS Jin became the latest brand ambassador of the product after chef Baek Jong-won and actor Namgoong-min.
Jin Ramen is one of the oldest instant noodle brands in South Korea. The classic ramen taste launched in 1988 and has a deep and thick broth that has captivated Korean palates with two flavors: “mild” and “spicy.”
The representative of Ottogi shared why they chose BTS Jin as the model. They said it is because Jin Ramen is sincere about taste, and so is BTS Jin, who is sincere about music. Therefore, its slogan is “Finally, our sincerity came through!”
Furthermore, in the future, Ottogi hopes to “create synergies” with Jin and said,
“With Jin’s global influence as a global artist and member of BTS, we wanted to successfully portray our brand values ahead of our 35th anniversary next year. We also hope that having Jin as our new model would help our efforts in the home and international markets.”

Run Out of Stocks?
Since the Jin Ramen commercial films featuring Jin BTS were released, many BTS fans (ARMY) have enthusiastically searched for it in nearby stores and online stores. Some of them had bought it, but many were still looking for it due to many stores had run out of stock, especially the “mild” ones.

High Demand for Halal Product
Meanwhile, on Ottogi’s Instagram, many BTS ARMY who are Muslims are asking for the company to make a halal version of Jin Ramen.

Less than five days after they announced Jin as their new model and released the CF, BTS Jin’s effect has made people around the world, especially ARMY, curious about the taste of Jin Ramen.
