At the Culture Station Seoul 284 in central Seoul, President Moon Jae In delivered his speech to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the National Liberation Day of South Korea from Japan’s colonialism.

Citing from Cheong Wa Dae (the Blue House), President Moon Jae In’s speech also highlight Korean artists who have made outstanding contributions in introducing Korean culture and arts on the international stage. Moreover, in his speech, President Moon Jae In mentioned BTS as one of the artists who continuously gained achievements, especially Billboard.

Korean independence movement leader Kim Gu, pen name Baekbeom, envisioned “a state with a highly developed culture.” Today, his aspiration is being fulfilled on the global stage through our culture and arts. BTS recently became the first band to replace itself at the top of the Billboard chart with a new single.

Moreover, President Moon Jae In also conveyed his appreciation toward other Korean artists like veteran actress Youn Yuh Jung and the film “Parasite” that won prestige awards at Cannes and Oscars. The film “Parasite” won the top prize at Cannes and multiple Oscars at the Academy Awards. Actress Youn Yuh Jung won the Best Supporting Actress Oscar.
