After a week of mysterious hints dropped by the Big Hit Entertainment, finally, BTS Suga or Agust D made a comeback with a great surprise as he released the second mixtape “D-2” on May 22. On the same day, Agust D also dropped a cinematic music video on YouTube for a track called “Daechwita.” Not only that the MV is amazing, fans all over the internet also talk about BTS Jungkook and Jin as the cameos.

BTS Suga whose real name is Min Yoon-gi is the main rapper of a popular kpop idol group, BTS. Having a great talent in music, BTS Suga also builds his solo career as a rapper with a stage name Agust D, and has the second mixtape “D-2”
Known as a hard worker, persistent, and optimist person, BTS Suga Agust D also works off stage as a songwriter, composer, and record producer. He even promoted to a full member of the Korea Music Copyright Association in 2018.
Suga has collaborated with various musicians and produced many songs. Recently, his collaboration song together with IU and El Capitxn, EIGHT, has won a perfect all-kill by topping the entire Korean charts.
Since the first mixtape in August 2016 and independent quarantine during the coronavirus outbreak, Suga as Agust D finally releases his second mixtape on Friday (5/22). It has ten tracks with various genres that explain his point of view of his current position and his perception of the world.
Citing the BTS Suga Agust D interview with Time, he revealed that by becoming Agust D, he could make music that he wants and become himself.
“I can show a more raw side to myself. It’s more that I made the music I wanted to make, rather than fixating on attempting something new.”

What does Daechwita mean?
Daechwita means a great hit or a great strike. It is a South Korean traditional military music that played by the military band with wind and percussion instrument combination like nabal, aepyeongso, and yonggo.
Developed in the Joseon dynasty, the music was played during royal or military processions walk of the King walks. The music was also played as an anthem of victory and pride. While in modern life, daechwita music is played during a diplomatic ceremony to welcome foreign country leaders.

In Daechwita MV, Suga Agust D has two characters. One as a king in the Joseon era with blonde hair and wearing traditional clothes that has a tiger pattern. While the other one is a rebel gang leader with black hair and worn modern clothes.
Moreover, like other BTS music videos, the MV is also full of metaphors and symbols. Starting from the traditional symbol of Korea’s kings called lwol Obongdo. It consists of the sun, moon, five mountains, pine trees, and waterfalls.

In Suga “Agust D” D-2 first song’s music video, not only Daechwita’s traditional music and cultural history that introduced internationally. But it also tells the story of modern and rebel Agust D who constantly fights with the bad side of him that dominates like a bad king.
BTS Jungkook and Jin as the Cameos
For 4 minutes 29 seconds, Daechwita music video gives the viewer a great visual and story as it is like a movie. Surprisingly, the maknae BTS Jungkook and and hyung Jin become cameos in this music video.
Both of them revealed that they, as the cameos, were not acting as BTS members in the MV. They were hilariously acting as traders who were fighting over a small thing. Besides the cameos, anther support came from BTS J-Hope. He sent a coffee truck to the set as a surprise.

Since the spoiler announced by Big Hit Entertainment, D-2 has been expected to be great. Though, fans do not expect to have some surprises in the first song’s MV, like the concept and the cameos.
BTS Suga Agust D “Daechwita” music video has hit over 46 million views and 5.8M likes since release on YouTube and become #1 on trending until today. Unfortunately, a couple of hours from its release on YouTube, the fans realized that the MV was removed from the trending list.
