Singer-actor Cha Eun Woo has indeed been challenging himself with more and more impressive transformations! After previously stunning the viewers with his role as Priest John in Island, Cha Eun Woo will showcase another magnificent change in a new project with Ha Yoon Kyung and Jo Woo Jin: Bulk Korean drama.
On January 19, JTBC News exclusively reported that actors Cha Eun Woo, Ha Yoon Kyung, and Jo Woo Jin were all in talks to star in a new drama, Bulk. The three actors will star in a new crime drama by director Park Noo Ri, who previously worked in Money Korean movie in 2019.
What is Cha Eun Woo New Project About?
Unlike his previous works, Cha Eun Woo new drama with Ha Yoon Kyung and Jo Woo Jin is your basic crime drama where the officials are fighting against the dark force in the Gangnam district. The difference is that this time the officials of justice will be getting unusual assistance from the industry’s insider who rebelled against the mainstream.
In Bulk Korean drama, you will watch how a veteran police officer teams up with a fixer who’s supposed to be a part of the underground activities behind Gangnam and a fierce prosecutor. These three individuals will make the most peculiar but iconic team in the history of Korean crime drama. You will watch how this unusual team digs up and eradicate criminals spreading like viruses and becoming social problems.
On top of that, Bulk Korean drama will also give you glimpses of fights against the dark forces beyond the coalition cartels that have been monopolizing Gangnam’s underground market.
Cha Eun Woo as The Rebellious Fixer
If Cha Eun Woo agrees to star in this new drama, he will undergo a massive radical transformation again!
In the new Korean drama, Bulk, Cha Eun Woo will reportedly play someone who used to be a fixer for Gangnam’s underground activities. A fixer is a problem-solver whose assistance is crucial for the crime lords. But this time, this fixer decided to rebel against the mainstream power after witnessing the most appalling crime he had ever encountered.
Still, Cha Eun Woo’s Fantagio agency stated that Bulk is only among the new projects the actor is reviewing. But fans’ expectations are leaning toward him accepting the role.
That is because if he does, Cha Eun Woo will showcase another colossal improvement in his acting. Not only that, but Bulk Korean drama will also add to his diverse character spectrums along with Priest John in Island and Jeon Tae Ryeong in the Decibel movie.
That way, Cha Eun Woo will continue taking down those who previously called him ‘just a pretty face’ in the Korean acting community and prove himself to be one of the most talented and hardworking actors.
Ha Yoon Kyung as the Fiery Prosecutor
Following her previous impressive performance as Choi Su Yeon in Extraordinary Attorney Woo, actress Ha Yoon Kyung showcases another side of her in the new drama with Cha Eun Woo, Bulk.
In Bulk Korean drama, Ha Yoon Kyung will reportedly play the role of a fiery prosecutor who team up with the fixer and a veteran police officer to take down underground criminals in Gangnam.
According to her agency, Ha Yoon Kyung is still reviewing the offer for the new drama with Cha Eun Woo. But hopefully, both Cha Eun Woo and Ha Yoon Kyung will take on the challenge to bring out their hidden impressive acting talents.
Jo Woo Jin as the Veteran Detective
At the center of the fierce fight against the underground force of Gangnam is actor Jo Woo Jin, the veteran detective who will lead the team.
This is the very first time for actor Jo Woo Jin to play the main character after over a decade of acting career. If you’re a long-time Korean drama enthusiast, you must have seen him a lot in various projects, including Narco-Saints, Happiness, and Mr. Sunshine.
Years and years of hard work finally bore fruit, and actor Jo Woo Jin has confirmed and accepted his first leading role in Bulk Korean drama.
