CJ ENM Entertainment Official Statement on IZ*ONE Getting Back Together

Regarding the recent issues about IZ*ONE getting back together, CJ ENM Entertainment finally responded with an official statement.

IZ*ONE Reported to be Getting Back Together

The Sports Kyunghyang reported on June 19 that I*ZONE is currently in talks of getting back together. Moreover, most of the members’ agencies are giving hints, which were leaning towards this project.

CJ ENM Made a Response with Official Statement on IZ*ONE Getting Back Together

Regarding the discussion, CJ ENM Entertainment (Mnet’s parent company) finally made an official response.

The same day after the spreading rumor that IZ*ONE will be getting back together, CJ ENM Entertainment representative response was in official statement that they are still in discussions with the members’ agencies. Therefore, they had not made any decision yet.

“Regarding IZ*ONE’s getting back together, while we are currently in discussions with the members’ agencies and leaving open a wide variety of possibilities, nothing has been decided.”

In addition, the company also expressed their thanks for the most recent crowdfunding done by fans for IZ*ONE’s possible reunion. However, CJ ENM Entertainment also stated that even IZ*ONE would indeed be getting back together, they will not use fans’ money to finance any future releases by the group.

“We are well aware of the fans’ fundraising. We are grateful for their support. However, even if IZ*ONE does get back together and we move forward with the production of a new album, we plan to fund it ourselves.”

IZ*ONE Disbanded in April 2021

Previously, IZ*ONE was only formed as a temporary project for Mnet’s idol audition program, “Produce 48”, in 2018. Due to the high excitement, the group finally made its official debut in October of the same year. Unfortunately, after only promoting for 2 and a half years, IZ*ONE officially disbanded in April 2021.
