On July 4, Korean media reported that “Crash Landing on You” will become an exciting musical adaptation. The production companies, Popmusic and T2N Media, confirmed the news on the same day.
List of CONFIRMED Cast for “Crash Landing on You” Musical Adaptation So Far
Following the confirmation, “Crash Landing on You” confirmed its official cast members for the musical adaptation on July 5. Just as Korean musical usually does, there will be multiple cast portraying their own versions of the character.
So, here are the confirmed cast so far for the “Crash Landing on You” musical adaptation, along with their dedicated roles. Do you think they will fit their characters perfectly?
Lee Kyu Hyung and Min Woo Hyuk as Ri Jeong Hyeok
Actors Lee Kyu Hyung and Min Woo Hyuk will be portraying Hyun Bin’s character, Ri Jeong Hyeok, in “Crash Landing on You” musical adaptation.
Debuted in 2001 with the movie “Night of Shilla”, actor Lee Kyu Hyung is an experienced actor with a wide acting spectrum in Korean dramas, movies, and stage performances. Today, he is currently working on the “Fan Letter” musical, which will conclude in mid-July.
At the same time, actor Min Woo Hyuk will also play his version of Ri Jeong Hyeok. Debuted in 2013 on the “March of the Youth” show, Min Woo Hyuk has built a famous reputation with various musicals, including “Les Miserables,” “Frankenstein”, and “Wicked” Korean plays.
Lee Yi Kyung and Tei as Gu Seung Joon
The second role confirmed for the musical is our tragic second lead, Gu Seung Joon. Previously portrayed magnificently by actor Kim Jung Hyun, Gu Seung Joon will also have two casts portraying his character: actor Lee Kyung and singer Tei.
You may probably recognize actor Lee Yi Kyung for his remarkable performance in the Waikiki Series. However, before starring in many Korean dramas, Lee Yi Kyung was also a musical actor. “Crash Landing on You” musical will be his comeback stage after 6 years since his last performance, “Altar Boyz”.
Along with Lee Yi Kyung, singer Tei will also be taking the role of Gu Seung Joon. While he is known as the singer behind many Kdrama OSTs, Tei is a renowned musical actor starring in various stages. His past performances include “Signal”, “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder”, and “Sherlock Holmes”.
