Cravity releases their second full-length album, “Dare to Crave,” and it lands like a declaration: they’re not here to repeat themselves—they’re here to evolve. And that evolution isn’t just musical.

Cravity “Dare to Crave” Album Review: Bold Sounds, New Leadership, and Global Ambition

Earlier this year, the group‘s leadership underwent a shift. Former leader Serim stepped down, passing the torch to Wonjin and Hyeongjun, now serving as co-leaders. It’s a meaningful change—quiet but loaded with purpose.

That connection—between members, with fans, and within the music—still anchors everything. But now it feels more expansive as if each member is claiming more space.

Soundcheck: What Hit and What Surprised

“SET NET G0?!” is a wild ride. Genre-hopping, glitch-heavy, bold. The chorus explodes out of nowhere, and the rap section snaps. It’s not an easy listen, but it’s exciting. The kind of track that feels different every time.

Unit songs

These were gold. “Marionette” (Serim, Minhee, Taeyoung) is brooding and textured. “Stadium” (Allen, Wonjin, Hyeongjun) leans energetic and sharp. “Straight Up to Heaven” (Jungmo, Woobin, Seongmin) lifts with clarity. They each reflect something deeper—friendship, growth, artistry.

Heart-track moments

“Love Me Again” feels like longing in motion, while “Wish Upon a Star” is pure sentiment—quiet, aching, and hopeful. I got emotional, and I didn’t expect to.

“Dare to Crave” Chart Performance & Cravity Growth

Cravity’s new album had a strong start, selling over 81,700 copies on the first day according to Hanteo. It also charted on Apple Music in several countries like Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Turkey.

While their 2022 album “Liberty: In Our Cosmos” had a bigger debut in Korea, “Dare to Crave” is gaining steady attention around the world. It shows Cravity’s growing global reach.

This isn’t about playing it safe or chasing charts. It’s about carving new ground. And even when the results aren’t spotless, they’re genuine.

Leadership Shift and Creative Growth within Cravity

Wonjin and Hyeongjun stepping in as co-leaders feels symbolic. This isn’t a reset—it’s an expansion. Serim’s leadership laid the foundation for Cravity, and now that foundation is being used to build something more open and layered.

All members contributed to the creative process—especially Serim, Allen, and Woobin, who were involved in songwriting and composition. That shows. The whole album feels lived-in, not outsourced. It’s theirs.

Personal Note

There are albums you admire. Then there are albums you feel. This one falls somewhere in between for me.

It’s not a flawless release—some tracks could breathe more, and some shifts are jarring. But it wants to mean something. That effort, that vulnerability, that willingness to be weird or raw or loud? That’s rare. That’s what makes it stay with you.

Don’t Miss These:

  • SET NET G0?! – Chaotic and addictive.
  • Marionette – A dark, textured standout.
  • Wish Upon a Star – Quiet, emotional closure.

Final Thought

With a new leadership dynamic and an album that dares to risk, Dare to Crave feels like Cravity’s most honest work yet. It isn’t polished for perfection. It’s bold for the sake of growth.

They’re no longer just performing as Cravity—they’re becoming it, together.

And it shows.
