The Korean Business Research Institute has released the latest list of the most popular rookie Kpop idol group rankings for December 2024. The Kpop male rookie idol group TWS took the number one spot, followed by Kpop groups QWER, ILLIT, BABYMONSTER, and RIIZE, who dominated the top five positions. Below are the top rookie Kpop idol group brand reputation rankings for December 2024!
December 2024 Rookie Idol Group Brand Reputation Rankings
From November 3 to December 3, the Korean Business Research Institute extracted 13,798,063 pieces of brand data for December’s new Kpop idol groups. They conducted a comprehensive analysis to determine the idols’ brand reputation indexes. However, compared to the 14,701,590 pieces of brand data for new idol groups in November, the number decreased by 6.15 percent.
According to the analysis, TWS, QWER, ILLIT, BABYMONSTER, and RIIZE secured the top five positions in the rookie Kpop idol group brand reputation rankings for December 2024.

1. TWS
Pledis’ new Kpop boy group TWS, who recently gave a stunning performance at the 2024 SBS Gayo Daejeon, remained in first place in the top rookie idol group brand reputation rankings. The group’s brand reputation index rose by 41.29 percent, increasing from 1,387,910 in November to 1,960,986 in December, with the following breakdown:
- Participation Index: 173,852
- Media Index: 228,317
- Communication Index: 823,646
- CommunityIndex: 735,172
Furthermore, TWS’s analysis result identified “cute,” “warm,” and “heart-fluttering” as their top related terms. Meanwhile, in the keyword analysis, the institute found “Plot Twist,” “Last Festival,” and “Seo Taiji and Boys,” as the group’s top keywords. Additionally, in the positivity-negativity ratio analysis, the rookie group achieved a favorable ratio of 91.86 percent.
2. QWER
Kpop girl band QWER, who recently rocked the stage at the 2024 Asia Artist Awards, secured the second position in December’s rookie idol brand reputation rankings. Their brand reputation increased significantly by 23.27 percent, rising from 1,253,903 in November to 1,545,693 in December 2024. Here’s the breakdown:

- Media Index: 280,137
- Communication Index: 504,457
- Community Index: 520,215
3. ILLIT
ILLIT, BELIFT LAB’s rookie group, achieved the highest-ranking Kpop position among Kpop groups on the 2024 Billboard Year-End Chart with their debut track “Magnetic,” securing third place. The female rookie group’s brand reputation rankings rose by 37.86 percent, increasing from 1,050,097 in November to 1,447,686 in December, with the following breakdown:

4. BABYMONSTERS
Rookie group BABYMONSTER, who recently released a new single, “Love in My Heart,” dropped to fourth place in December’s rookie idol group rankings. The group’s brand reputation index also experienced a slight decrease of 5.88 percent, falling from 1,211,113 in November to 1,139,952 in December, with the following breakdown:

5. RIIZE
Boy band RIIZE, whose single “Impossible” was named one of the top Kpop tracks of 2024 by GRAMMY.com, rounded out the top five this month. The group’s brand reputation index fell by 0.44 percent, decreasing from 870,921 in November to a new figure in December 2024, with the following index:
