On December 6, after Big Hit Music announced an official statement regarding the group’s first-holiday vacation, BTS surprised their fans worldwide again.

The septet launched their Instagram accounts with verified marks and stunning individual display pictures. In addition, all of them are following seven other accounts.

Further, Big Hit Music revealed the real reason why the members created their personal Instagram accounts.

“The members opened up their own Instagram accounts to further express their individuality and also have various ways in which they communicate with their fans.”

1. BTS members’ Instagram accounts reached millions of followers in less than 24 hours.

All BTS members have reached 10 million followers on Instagram within 6 hours after launching their accounts publicly.

2. Rare nickname of BTS Jin on Instagram, “JIN.”

Among all the BTS members, ONLY Jin can use his real name as his username, “JIN.” It is a rare nickname that is difficult to get in SNS.

3. RM hinted at BTS Jimin’s username on Instagram, “J.M.”

During their concert PTD in LA, RM called Jimin “J.M,” and then Jimin replied, “J-I-M-I-N. This is my name!”. A few days later, we found Jimin’s username became J.M. Voila!

RM’s username is simple yet brilliant. RM explained on his Instagram bio that “rkive” means “just an archive.” Previously, he had a studio tour on Vlive for his fans and shared his studio’s name on Twitter. BTS Suga or Yoongi put the name of his alter ego “agustd” for his username. Unfortunately, Suga deleted his first post on Instagram. When Suga said, “Instagram is hard,” other members tried to comfy him.
