May 2025 Individual Kpop Group Member Brand Reputation Rankings: BIGBANG G-Dragon & BLACKPINK Jennie
The Korean Business Research Institute has announced the most popular female and male members of Kpop groups in May 2025.
From April 17 to May 17, the institute conducted a consumer behavior analysis on 72,429,761 brand big data points from 755 boy group members. The brand big data decreased by 5.32 percent from 76,428,630 brand big data points in April. According to the analysis result, BIGBANG G-Dragon, BTS Jin, ASTRO Cha Eun Woo, BTS Jimin, and BTS Jungkook secured their place in the top five Kpop boy group brand reputation rankings for May 2025.
For the Kpop girl group, the institute analyzed 103,830,028 brand big data points of 725 girl group members from April 18 to May 18, 2025. The number increased by 5.05 percent from 98,841,515 brand big data points. As a result, BLACKPINK Jennie, IVE Jang Won Young, BLACKPINK Rosé, aespa Karina, and IVE An Yu Jin dominated the top five in the Kpop girl group member brand reputation rankings for May 2025.
G-Dragon and Jennie
BIGBANG’s G-Dragon and BLACKPINK’s Jennie, known as K-fashion icons and recently made waves with boater hat style in two prestigious events, remained in their top positions this month.
In the boy group member rankings, G-Dragon secured the #1 spot for the third consecutive month, though his brand reputation index saw a 28.77% decline, dropping from 6,570,472 in April to 4,679,825 in May.
Further, the institute found “perform,” “sold out,” and “release” to be the singer’s most associated terms in link analysis. Meanwhile, in keyword analysis, they found “Tokyo Dome concert,” “world tour,” and “Übermensch” to be his most popular keywords. Additionally, G-Dragon earned a positive score of 92.08 percent in positivity-negativity analysis.
Meanwhile, Jennie dominated the girl group rankings, claiming 1st place for the second straight month. Her brand reputation index surged by 42.78%, rising from 6,639,054 in April to 9,479,200 in May.
In link analysis, the institute found “confident,” “unrivaled,” and “honest” to be her most popular related terms. Meanwhile, in keyword analysis, the institute discovered “like Jennie,” “Met Gala,” and “You Quiz on the Block” as her most popular keywords. Additionally, Jennie received a positive score of 90.43 percent in positivity-negativity analysis.
