Galaxy Corporation also released an official statement regarding the collaboration with the BIGBANG leader.

“Many have been curious about G-Dragon’s future, particularly his connection with our company, after his investigation ended. Today, we want to address this. BIGBANG G-Dragon Leaving YG Entertainment: New Korean Company Claims His Contract in Press Conference

Following his freedom from the previous drug-related charges, BIGBANG G-Dragon has reportedly left YG Entertainment with the possibility of signing with a new Korean agency.

On December 20, a new Korean company named Galaxy Corporation announced its plan for a press conference regarding G-Dragon and his drug case. The company shared that the official press conference was to detail G-Dragon’s drug case post-acquittal and talk about his 2024 activities. G-Dragon, however, will not attend the press conference.

Previously, reports emerged from Money Today suggesting G-Dragon’s imminent signing with Galaxy Corporation. An anonymous source claimed the talks were nearly finalized, with an announcement expected soon.

However, Galaxy Corporation gave a concise statement, refusing to comment on the details.

“There is no official comment we can make at the moment.”

Now that G-Dragon has regained his good name with all charges cleared, the Korean company behind the hit Netflix series “Physical: 100” suddenly changed its stance. Despite no updates regarding G-Dragon signing with the company, Galaxy will reportedly hold a press conference representing the Korean icon today.

On the other hand, Sports Seoul hinted at a possible contract renewal between G-Dragon and YG Entertainment. Yet YG Entertainment posted their response on BIGBANG’s official website. The company confirmed its conclusion of long-term collaboration with G-Dragon, marking the end of an era in the Kpop industry.

“Hello, this is YG Entertainment.

Since G-Dragon debuted with BIGBANG in 2006, he’s been a standout artist in our agency. It’s been an honor working with him all these years.

We wholeheartedly wish him success as he embarks on this new journey.

We hope his fans continue to show him lots of love and support.

Thank you.”

Hinting Possible Comeback?

In addition to updates from YG and Galaxy, G-Dragon reportedly plans for a comeback in the first half of next year. Industry insiders are buzzing about his intensified efforts on a long-awaited solo album, signaling a thrilling return to the music scene.

Initially, the Kpop icon aimed to delight fans with a comeback this year but faced unexpected challenges due to the drug case. But after the police declared him innocent, G-Dragon planned to focus on his return to the music industry.

While the album’s exact release date remains under wraps, his dedication to creating new music is clear. Fans are waiting for the rapper’s first album in over seven years since “Kwon Ji Yong” in 2017.

After parting ways with YG Entertainment, G-Dragon is carefully considering collaborations with various music labels, keen on finding the perfect match to present his ever-evolving artistic style.

So, what do you think G-Dragon will do for his next move in the Korean music industry? Give us your thoughts in the comments below.

Stay tuned for future updates on his upcoming album and more ventures in the music scene. Keep supporting G-Dragon on this exciting new journey, and get ready for what promises to be an unforgettable musical experience.
