G-Dragon Tops April 2025 Individual Kpop Idol Brand Reputation Rankings
From March 23 to April 23, the Korean Business Institute extracted 138,897,886 pieces of brand big data related to 1,730 individual Kpop idol brands. Compared to 150,404,487 pieces of brand big data on individual Kpop idol brands in March, the number decreased by 7.65 percent.
Further, the institute conducted a consumer behavior analysis using the latest big data to determine the idols’ brand reputation indexes. Afterward, based on the results, the institute established the latest rankings for individual Kpop idols.
G-Dragon Leads April Rankings
According to the result, G-Dragon ranked first in the Kpop idol brand reputation for two consecutive months. However, this month, the singer’s brand reputation index experienced a 5.52 percent decrease. The number declined from 7,078,959 in March to 6,688,388 in April.
In the link analysis, the institute identified “curating,” “collaborating,” and “transmitting” as the singer’s most popular related terms. Furthermore, they found “iris,” “Home Sweet Home,” and “KAIST professor” to be his most popular keywords. In addition, the singer earned a positive score of 90.53% in the positivity/negativity analysis.
G-Dragon attended the “Innovate Korea 2025” forum at KAIST earlier this month. This event marked his first visit as a visiting professor after being appointed on June 5, 2024 and will explore the field of mechanical engineering until 2026. The singer, whose real name is known as Kwon Ji Yong, spoke as Professor Kwon Ji Young at the event. He shared his visions of a new future for art in the age of AI.
In collaboration with KAIST and Galaxy Corp., Kpop star G-Dragon sent his latest music, “Home Sweet Home,” via satellite into space, alongside an image of his iris as the background. Professor Lee’s AI artwork, “Iris,” symbolizes G-Dragon’s emotions through the “mirror of the soul” concept.
This initiative is part of Entech (Entertainment technology)’s AI project, which combines art, science, and technology to create unique experiences. In addition, the project aims to preserve music as human heritage and explore communication with the universe, blending technology and art.
