And the actor who portrayed the character Kim Ji Sang was Ji Seung Hyun.

Kim Ji Sang’s affair had caused massive backlash, especially from the Korean public, who find themselves affected by the powerful storyline. And it was actor Ji Seung Hyun who must face these massive criticisms and controversy in online communities and social media.

Therefore, the “Good Partner” Kdrama cast felt compelled to express his apology. He posted a video on SBS YouTube channel, expressing regret for causing such distress not only to the public but also to the fictional characters playing alongside him, Cha Eun Kyung (played by Jang Nara) and Choi Sa Ra (played by Han Jae Yi).

“Hello, this is actor Ji Seung Hyun, and I would like to apologize.

I deeply regret the pain I caused Cha Eun Kyung with my character’s affair in the Kdrama. I also want to sincerely apologize to Choi Sa Ra, my on-screen affair partner. I have committed an act that was remarkably unforgivable by leading a double life.

At the same time, I also want to apologize to all the viewers. I am truly aware that there are so many of you criticizing me, saying, ‘‘My low blood pressure was cured,’ and ‘I feel like I’m going to choke on this plot, I need something refreshing to drink,’ and it was all because of me.

I truly apologize, and please understand that everything was because of how well I, Ji Seung Hyun, portrayed my role in ‘Good Partner.’ 

Once again, I’m truly sorry.”
