Han Hyo Joo in Talks for “Your Ground”
Prominent actress Han Hyo Joo may take on the role of Seo Hee Seung. She is a lawyer from a major law firm who becomes an agent in the new Korean drama “Your Ground.” The show tells the story of a baseball player whose career was stopped due to a setback. After meeting with the lawyer-turned-agent, he returns to the baseball field.
If she confirms this role, it will be her next project after the Netflix series “Romantics Anonymous.” That series is set to air in the second half of this year.
Song Kang in Talks for “Four Hands”
“My Demon” actor Song Kang will reportedly take on the lead role as a piano prodigy in “Four Hands.” This would be his first project after his military service discharge, which is scheduled to take place on October 1st of this year.The drama series centers on former classmates. The story follows Julia, a wealthy divorcée, who, while spending her 60th birthday alone at an art museum, unexpectedly meets a 33-year-old man named Benjamin. This encounter marks the beginning of their story.
Kim Hee Ae has been offered the role of Julia. Joining her on the project are director Jin Hyuk (“The Tale of Lady Ok”), writer Kang Eun Kyung (“Dr. Romantic”), and writer Sun Young (“Forecasting Love and Weather”).
ITZY’s Yuna to Make Acting Debut
Female idol Shin Yu Na or ITZY’s Yuna will make her acting debut in the upcoming drama “Miss Undercover Boss.” Set in the 90s during South Korea’s turbulent IMF crisis, the story follows Hong Geum Bo. She is an elite Supervisor at the Financial Supervisory Service, who is completely dedicated to her work. Due to her youthful appearance, she goes undercover at a securities firm, posing as a 20-year-old high school graduate to investigate illegal activities.
In the drama, Yuna portrays Hong Jang Mi, the younger sister of Park Shin Hye. She joins a cast that also includes Park Shin Hye, Go Kyung Pyo, Cho Han Gyeol, and Ha Yoon Kyung.
Choo Young Woo & Shin Si Ah Confirmed for Korean Remake Film
Rising stars Choo Young Woo and Shin Si Ah have been cast as the leads for the Korean drama adaptation of the hit novel and 2022 film “Even if This Love Disappears from the World Tonight.” The drama will tell a “fresh yet heartrending” love story between a girl with daily memory loss and the boy she falls in love with.
Choo Young Woo will star as the male lead, Kim Jae Won. He is an ordinary student whose dull life begins to change after meeting the female lead. Shin Si Ah will play the female lead, Han Seo Yoon. She is a student who suffers from anterograde amnesia, causing her memories to reset every day.
Geum Sae Rok and Ryeoun Are in Talks for “Flower of Death”
Geum Sae Rok and Ryeoun are in talks to star in “Flower of Death,” a new crime-thriller drama based on the novel of the same name by Lee Dong Gun.
The thrilling story focuses on the conflict between a lawyer, who must keep a serial killer alive to save his sick daughter, and a prosecutor who seeks justice for the victims. The killer at the center of the plot is a medical school dropout who claims he can cure all diseases through experiments, but has instead murdered countless innocent people.
Geum Sae Rok received an offer for the role of the prosecutor. She determined to seek the death penalty for the killer responsible for the inhumane experiments. Ryeoun is reportedly considering the role of the serial killer who operates under the guise of finding cures for incurable diseases.
So Ji Sub in Talks for “Manager Kim”
“Mercy for None” actor So Ji Sub has received an offer to star in the new action-noir drama “Manager Kim.” The show is an adaptation series based on the popular webtoon of the same name. The story follows a former special agent who is now living as an ordinary family man. After she disappears without a trace, he must put everything on the line to rescue his daughter, Min Ji.
DEX in Talks for “The Men of Harem”
Dex is reportedly in talks for the new fantasy drama “The Men of the Harem” (literal title). The upcoming series is based on the popular web novel of the same name. In this upcoming drama, Dex will co-star with Bae Suzy.
The show is an intriguing fantasy romance that tells the story of Empress Latil of the Tarim Empire. To protect her throne, she brings male concubines into the palace.
Lee Do Hyun and Shin Si Ah to Lead “Grand Galaxy Hotel”
The Hong Sisters’ new fantasy romance K-drama, “Grand Galaxy Hotel,” has confirmed Lee Do Hyun and Shin Si Ah as its lead couple. This drama marks the second collaboration between Lee Do Hyun and the Hong Sisters, following the hit series “Hotel del Luna” in 2019. Shin Si Ah reportedly takes on the female lead role opposite Lee Do Hyun after it was previously offered to Go Min Si.
According to reports, “Grand Galaxy Hotel” will begin filming in the second half of 2025. Additionally, it will air on the streaming platform Netflix.
