On July 6, the Korean Business Research Institute published the most recent list of the most popular rookie idol groups for July 2023. NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, ZEROBASEONE, H1-KEY, and BOYNEXTDOOR claimed the top five positions, showcasing their dominance in the Kpop rookie idol scene. NewJeans Continues to Top July 2023 Rankings for Most Popular Kpop Rookie Idol Groups
The Korean Business Research Institute conducted a comprehensive analysis on new idol group brand data collected from June 6 to July 6, 2023. A total of 19,378,972 brand data points were gathered, showing a 7.34 percent increase from the data collected in June. This data was analyzed to determine the brand reputation of new idol groups in July.
During the index assessment, the institute considered various factors, including consumer participation, media coverage, communication patterns, and community engagement. The analysis included boy and girl groups among the new idol groups that debuted between 2022 and the current year.
In the Kpop rookie idol group rankings for July, the top five spots were claimed by K-pop rookie idol groups NewJeans, LE SSERAFIM, ZEROBASEONE, H1-KEY, and BOYNEXTDOOR, respectively.
Top 5 Most Popular K-pop Rookie Idol Groups
The rookie girl group, NewJeans, maintained its stronghold in the top position of the July 2023 K-pop rookie idol group brand reputation rankings. The group’s brand value experienced a significant increase of 23.87 percent, rising from 3,795,700 in June to 4,701,783 in July.
The link analysis revealed that the terms “reveal,” “breakthrough,” and “transform” emerged as highly ranked related terms for the group. Additionally, “ETA,” “music video,” and “ASAP” were identified as the top keywords in the keywords analysis. Lastly, the rookie group achieved an impressive 82.75% positive ratio in the positivity-negativity analysis.
Next, Le Sserafim climbed to the second position this month. Their brand value increased by 19.74 percent, rising from 2,723,057 in June to 3,260,595 in July.
In the rankings, the new rookie boy group ZEROBASEONE secured the third position with a brand value of 1,686,063. H1-Key maintained the fourth position with a brand value of 1,444,579. The rookie Kpop girl group’s brand value experienced a remarkable 25.01 percent increase, growing from 1,155,531 in June.
Lastly, BOYNEXTDOOR held onto the fifth position this month. The rookie boy group’s brand value saw a 17.40 percent increase, rising from 902,105 in June to 1,059,094 in July.
