Members of Kpop 4^th generation monster rookie, NewJeans, have reportedly received mistreatment from HYBE Chairman Bang Si Hyuk. Previously, mother of a NewJeans member conducted an interview with Ilgan Sports. This interview revealed HYBE various attempts in erasing NewJeans members from the company. This include scheduling a long vacation for NewJeans members when their popularity is skyrocketing.

And yet, what most shocking was when the mother revealed Bang Si Hyuk mistreatment towards NewJeans members.

“Chairman Bang Si Hyuk of HYBE doesn’t even greet the kids. Not just my child, but other kids had similar experiences since their debut. One child even said he didn’t acknowledge them when they were in the elevator together.

When we brought up the issue again that day, HYBE executives said, ‘Mothers, you’re really mistaken,’ and explained that Chairman Bang might have prosopagnosia (face blindness).

After leaving the meeting, I thought, ‘Even if he has face blindness, he should still be able to hear greetings and respond. Is that so difficult to do?

As parents, it was embarrassing and we were at a loss for words when we learned that it wasn’t just once or twice that the kids were deliberately ignored.

They shared moments of standing in the elevator with blank expressions because they felt disregarded, or sensing that he was pretending not to see them.

Different Treatments Towards LE SSERAFIM, The Rumored Step-Sister

On the other hand, while HYBE Chairman Bang Si Hyuk claimed to suffer face blindness, it seems that he doesn’t have any issue in recognizing LE SSERAFIM.

Not only that, but HYBE Chairman Bang Si Hyuk seems to have complete opposite treatments towards LE SSERAFIM. He greeted them in most occasions, returned their messages, text them first, invited them to his mansion in LA, and even delivering the goods personally to LE SSERAFIM fan meeting.

Moreover, but it is also revealed that HYBE artists and executives actually has a private elevator to separate them from the staff. Therefore, it is almost impossible that Bang Si Hyuk did not recognize NewJeans members as one of his HYBE artists.
