On April 25, HYBE announced the result of the audit they had done against ADOR, its CEO Min Heejin, and several executives. According to the official announcement, she had indeed planned to take over the management rights of ADOR completely. Therefore, the company plans to take legal action.
Earlier this morning, HYBE sent a press release to multiple Korean media outlets. The statement revealed that HYBE had obtained crucial evidence through their internal audit. This crucial evidence then strongly proved that she has been trying to take over ADOR, directing the label to leave HYBE completely.
Not only that, but a staff member who participated in the audit apparently confessed to the plans. They stated that plans had been circulating in ADOR regarding methods to leave HYBE, including contact with outside investors to request funding.
She also commanded her staff at ADOR to find various methods to pressure HYBE into selling their ADOR shares.
“The officer involved in the audit provided thorough information as evidence, including their plan to take control of ADOR and efforts to reach out to external investors.
Additionally, the officer acknowledged that they had prepared documents intended to attack HYBE.
There were also detailed discussions about ending artists’ exclusive contracts early and how to terminate the CEO’s contract with HYBE.”

Along with the official statement, HYBE slightly revealed a KakaoTalk message containing Min Heejin’s instructions and detailed strategies. Her ultimate goals were to end the exclusive contracts between NewJeans and HYBE as early as possible and void her contract as ADOR CEO with HYBE.
In the conversation, Min Heejin provided directions, including:
- Let’s bring in global funds and strike a deal with HYBE.
- Mount a critical appeal against everything HYBE does.
- Find effective ways to harass HYBE.
