UPDATE December 10, 2021:

Super Junior Choi Siwon will NOT be attending the 2021 MAMA after confirmed positive of COVID-19, according to SM Entertainment.

“Siwon was confirmed to be infected with COVID-19 this morning. He had completed his second vaccination in September, but was confirmed positive during a COVID-19 PCR test taken as a preemptive measure before his schedule.” —

SM Entertainment.

Siwon will postpone all activities, and undergo self-quarantine. Meanwhile, all members and staff in contact with Siwon will also be tested for the virus.

The former MAMA 2021 performer lineup list includes its newly formed girl group Kep1er and possibly the millennial Kpop group, BTS. But, unfortunately, due to the escalating COVID issues in South Korea, BTS will NOT be able to attend the ceremony.
