The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed that BLACKPINK has once again topped the brand reputation rankings for Kpop idol groups, marking their third month at #1 since November 2024. Find the top 50 Kpop idol group brand reputation rankings for January 2025 below.
BLACKPINK Tops January 2025 Kpop Idol Group Brand Reputation Rankings
The Korean Business Research Institute collected 109,236,334 Kpop idol group brand big data from December 23, 2024, to January 23, 2025. The amount of brand big data increased by 6.61 percent compared to the 102,460,339 brand big data from December 2024,
Further, the institute used the latest brand big data and conducted a consumer behavior analysis to assess the current brand value of Kpop idol groups. This analysis focused on four key factors: participation, media, communication, and community indexes. Finally, to establish the Kpop idol group rankings for January 2025, the institute ranked the groups according to their brand values.
As a result, once again, BLACKPINK, SEVENTEEN, and BTS dominated the top three, while IVE and aespa switched places, with IVE moving up to fourth place and aespa falling to fifth. Check out the top 30 Kpop idol groups from November 2024 to January 2025 below.

1. BLACKPINK
BLACKPINK, who continues to make headlines, stayed on the top list for the third consecutive month. Unfortunately, the group’s brand value saw a 13.69 percent decrease, falling from 13,024,795 in December to 11,241,702 in January, with the following breakdown:
- Participation Index: 322,598
- Media Index: 746,528
- Communication Index: 2,127,104
- Community Index: 8,045,472
In the link analysis, popular terms that related to the group included “anticipate,” “cheer,” and “comeback.” Meanwhile, the keyword analysis found that “Rosé,” “full group,” and “Jennie” were the most popular search terms. In the positivity-negativity analysis, BLACKPINK achieved a positive score of 93.20 percent.
2. SEVENTEEN
SEVENTEEN, who will celebrate their 10th anniversary this year, held on to second place this month. The group’s brand value saw a 33.56 percent increase this month. The group’s brand value increased from 6,009,687 last December to 8,026,659 in January 2025, with the following breakdown:

- Media Index: 499,249
- Communication Index: 1,932,277
- Community Index: 5,315,343
3. BTS
BTS, recently named as the first Kpop group to surpass 2 billion streams on Spotify, stayed in third position. This month, the seven-member group’s brand value saw a 10.55 percent increase. It rose from 5,735,127 last December to 6,340,427 in January 2025, the following breakdown:
- Participation Index: 176,106
- Media Index: 650,441
- Communication Index: 1,567,563
- Community Index: 3,946,317
4. IVE
IVE, who will hold the 3rd fan concert, “IVE SCOUT,” climbed to fourth place. IVE’s brand value experienced a 19.33 percent increase this month. The value increased from 4,592,066 last December to 5,479,545 in January 2025. Here is the following breakdown of the latest brand value:

- Media Index: 365,302
- Communication Index: 2,082,438
- Community Index: 2,784,452
5. aespa
aespa, who is currently in the United States for the “Synk: Parallel Line” world tour, dropped to fifth place. However, the female group’s brand value saw an increase of 11.52 percent, rising from 4,618,394 last December to 5,150,630 in January 2025. Here is the group’s brand value breakdown:
