Jung Hae In, Ha Young – “This Damned Love!”
Netflix has finally officially announced Jung Hae In and Ha Young as the leads of its new original Korean rom-com drama “This Damned Love!“ also known as “Lovestuck” or “This Sucky Love.”
This drama marks the second collaboration between director Kim Jang Han, well-known for the hit drama “My Demon,” and writer Mo Ji Hye, who previously worked together on “You Raise Me Up” in 2021.
Han Ji Min, Park Sung Hoon – “Efficient Dating for Singles”
Actors Han Ji Min and Park Sung Ho are confirmed to take lead roles in the new romance drama “Efficient Dating for Singles”(literal title). This drama is an adaptation of the Naver webtoon by Tari.
Director Lee Jae Hoon, known for the popular dramas “A Beautiful Mind,” “Good Manager,” and “Run On,” will helm the series. This rom-com is scheduled to air in 2026.
The story follows a successful career woman who is seeking true love through blind dates and finds herself between two charming men. This captivating rom-com explores modern dating guidelines surrounding uncertainty, attraction, genuine chemistry, and emotional connection.
Joining Han Ji Min and Park Sung Hoon are Lee Ki Taek, Jung Hye Sung, and Kim So Hye, adding an exciting ensemble cast.
Han Suk Kyu – “The Boss Shin Project”
Actor Han Suk Kyu, known for his brilliant performance in the psychological thriller “Doubt,” will star in the new comedy series. Titled “The Boss Shin Project” (literal title), the drama is also known as the “New President Project.”
The story follows CEO Shin, a fried chicken restaurant owner who has a secret. With his sharp wit and physical skills, he mediates disputes for the underdog and solves various incidents around him.
In addition, Bae Hyun Sung and Lee Re join actor Han Suk Kyu in this promising comedy drama.
Kim Go Eun, Kim Jae Won – “Yumi’s Cells” Season 3
Actress Kim Go Eun will return to her iconic role, Yumi, in the highly anticipated “Yumi’s Cells“ Season 3. She will reunite with Director Lee Sang Yeob and writers Song Jae Jung and Kim Kyung Ran to continue the story.
The new season follows a more mature Yumi as she pursues her dream of becoming a writer. However, an unexpected romance enters her life. This situation brings chaos to her inner world, reigniting the hilarious and expressive dormant cell village—Love, Rational, Emotional, Writer, and Hunger.
Joining Kim Go Eun is rising star Kim Jae Won, known for his role in “The Tale of Lady Ok.” The actor portrays Soon Rok, the young PD at Julie’s Publishing’s editorial department, who will awaken Yumi’s dormant cell village.
Notably, this pairing creates a 10-year age gap between leads. Kim Go Eun will turn 34 this year, while Kim Jae Won will be 24.
Yoon Shi Yoon – “Taxi Driver” Season 3
Actor Yoon Shi Yoon will make a special appearance in the upcoming “Taxi Driver” Season 3. His forthcoming appearance will mark his return to the small screen after his last appearance on “Work Later, Drink Now” Season 2 in 2022.
Namkoong Min – “The Completion of Marriage”
Actor Namkoong Min is considering an offer to headline a new thriller romance drama for KBS. If the actor confirms, this upcoming drama will mark his return to KBS after “Doctor Prisoner” in 2019.
Titled “The Completion of Marriage,” the gripping story follows a former neurosurgeon-turned-hospital director. Someone kidnapped his wife just as their marriage was about to end in divorce.
Jang Dong Yoon – “Night in Heaven”
Jang Dong Yoon is considering an offer to lead the upcoming romance drama, “Night in Heaven” (literal title). The production team initially offered to Ahn Hyeo Seop last November 2024. However, he seems to have declined the offer; possibly, Jang Dong Yoon will take the role.
This drama is a live adaptation of a popular novel by Hwang Eui Geon in 2022. Renowned director Yoon Jong Ho, known for the 2024 hit drama “Lovely Runner,“ will helm the series.
The story follows an unconventional love story between two contrasting figures: a chaebol heiress born out of wedlock and a former taekwondo champion turned elite Cheongdam-dong club ace.
Roh Yoon Seo Drops Role in “All of Us Are Dead” Season 2
The “Hear Me: Our Summer“ star Roh Yoon Seo has turned down an offer to join “All of Us Are Dead” Season 2. The actress was offered to play a new character among the main cast. Reports indicate that the actress decided not to participate in the series due to scheduling conflicts.
The actress, who is majoring in Fine Arts at Ewha Womans University, will show her acting skills through the psychological thriller “Snow Fall” alongside Kim Yoon Seok and Koo Kyo Hwan this year. She will return to the small screen with the historical action fantasy “East Palace” alongside Nam Joo Hyuk, Cho Seung Woo, and Jang Young Nam.
