October 2025 K-Pop Boy and Girl Group Brand Reputation Rankings

To determine the latest K-pop boy group rankings, the Korean Business Research Institute conducted a consumer behavior analysis from September 11 to October 11, analyzing 64,775,848 brand big data points. This figure represents a 0.51 percent increase from the 64,448,201 data points analyzed in September 2025.
Similarly, for the latest K-pop girl group rankings, the Institute conducted a consumer behavior analysis from September 12 to October 12, analyzing 52,748,170 brand big data points. This number decreased by 4.95 percent compared to the 55,496,950 data points collected in September.
BTS Remains Unwavering in Boy Group Brand Rankings
According to the analysis, K-pop group BTS has topped the rankings again this month, marking their fourth consecutive month at the top. The seven-member group achieved a brand reputation index of 7,663,180, decreasing 14.14 percent from their index of 8,924,807 in September.
While October was a busy month for other boy groups whose new promotions led to a significant increase in fan activity, BTS was in a quieter period. Fan conversations focused on their legacy, charity work, and member birthdays.
That BTS still ranked #1 by a large margin is a powerful statement. Their brand no longer depends on the typical K-pop promotion cycle; it is sustained by an incredibly loyal fan base. Their positive public image and legendary status keep them at the center of the conversation, even when they are quiet.
The group’s link analysis revealed high-ranking terms like “record,” “donate,” and “be selected.” Similarly, their keyword analysis highlighted “Spring Day,” “Spotify,” and “birthday.” The positivity-negativity analysis also yielded a 91.94 percent positive rating.
“Record,” “Donate, and “Be Selected”
Even during their break, the members of BTS continued to set individual records on a global scale.
On the streaming front, Jimin achieved a remarkable trifecta of milestones. His song “Be Mine” surpassed 300 million Spotify streams. His single, “Who,” became the fastest song by an Asian artist to reach 2 billion streams. He also made history as the first K-pop soloist to amass 6 billion streams without any collaborations.
Jungkook’s success also showed no signs of slowing down. His song “Seven” extended its run on the Weekly Top Songs Global chart to 117 consecutive weeks and broke the record for the 2.58 billion streams for an Asian artist.
Looking ahead to award season, J-Hope’s hit song “Killin’ It Girl,” featuring GloRilla, has reportedly been submitted to the 2026 Grammy Awards for Best Music Video and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.
Beyond the charts and awards, BTS members also made significant contributions.
BTS leader RM showcased his philanthropic spirit in celebration of his birthday. He donated a combined 200 million won (approx. US$144,000) to two major hospitals. Additionally, he was voted the top K-pop idol, known for his love of reading, in a fan poll conducted by Idol Chart, securing 42% of the total vote.
Similarly impactful, Suga’s long-term support for healthcare culminated in the official opening of the Min Yoon-gi Treatment Center at Severance Hospital on September 30, 2025.
Finally, the group’s collective artistry, “Spring Day,” earned a spot on the 250 Greatest Songs of the 21st Century list.
