Rosé Leads with Multiple Nods
BLACKPINK’s Rosé stole the show with an incredible eight nominations this year!
Her hit collaboration with Bruno Mars, “APT,” received nominations in multiple categories. These nods include Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop, and Best Collaboration. The track also earned nominations for Best Direction, Best Visual Effects, and Best Art Direction.
Rosé’s solo track, “Toxic till the End,” also grabbed a coveted spot for Best K-pop.
All BLACKPINK Members Earn Nominations
The Best K-Pop category is filled with talent! Notably, all four BLACKPINK members earned individual nominations.
Jennie’s “like JENNIE,” Jisoo’s “Earthquake,” Lisa’s “BORN AGAIN” (featuring Doja Cat and Raye), and Rosé’s “toxic till the end” are all contenders.
This truly highlights their individual artistry and global appeal.
K-Pop Groups and Soloists Light Up “Best K-Pop”
But they’re not alone in the Best K-Pop race!
aespa’s “Whiplash,” BTS’s Jimin’s “Who,” and Stray Kids’ “Chk Chk Boom” also join this star-studded list.

New categories brought even more K-pop glory!
KATSEYE made a significant splash with a nomination for Push Performance of the Year for their song “Touch.”
Then, the VMAs expanded their nominations, announcing the highly anticipated Best Group category. BLACKPINK, Stray Kids, aespa, SEVENTEEN, and KATSEYE are all competing for this prestigious award alongside All Time Low, Backstreet Boys, Coldplay, Evanescence, Fuerza Regida, Grupo Frontera, Imagine Dragons, Jonas Brothers, My Chemical Romance, The Marías, and twenty one pilots.
With K-pop artists standing alongside many iconic global acts, this shows K-pop’s undeniable worldwide impact.
What’s more, the nominations didn’t stop there!
The fictional group HUNTR/X from the animated film “KPop Demon Hunters” also grabbed a nod. Their smash hit “Golden” is up for Song of the Summer, featuring EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami.
