Brilliant actor and the King of Expressions Kim Seon Ho returns with another touching good news on his birthday this year. On the day he celebrated his 37th birthday (international age), Kim Seon Ho decided to make a heartening donation. And he did it for just the perfect cause.
Korean media Newsen reported on May 8 that actor Kim Seon Ho had made the most meaningful donation to the Red Cross on his birthday. The Korean Red Cross stated to Newsen that they had received a birthday donation from Kim Seon Ho with a total of 100 million KRW (approximately 75,662 USD).
Furthermore, the report also mentioned that Kim Seon Ho made this donation from the proceeds that he had obtained during his fan meeting.
Birthday Donation Used for Adolescents Leaving Foster Care per Kim Seon Ho Request
What is even more special is that Kim Seon Ho and his loyal Seonhohada fans managed to find just the perfect cause for the birthday donation!
Newsen further reported that the King of Expressions and his honorable Seonhohada crusaders had donated the money for the young adolescents who had just completed their foster care.
The South Korean Red Cross further stated that they would use the donation for a program to develop self-reliance capabilities for young adolescents who were getting ready to become independent. And they did it all per Kim Seon Ho’s request.
Through a fandom vote, Kim Seon Ho and Seonhohada aimed to support South Korean Red Cross’ activities for young adolescents leaving their foster homes. As these youths are getting ready to become independent and learn to stand on their own feet, Kim Seon Ho and Seonhohada want to support them in their new beginnings.
“This donation came from the fans. I am so grateful for the fans who always stand by my side. And through this opportunity, I hope I could be of some help for the young people who must stand alone.”

Most people care a lot and pay so much attention to the children who lost their parents or younger students living in difficult situations. Korea Herald reported last year that most of the 2,500 adolescents leaving their foster homes had faced financial and psychological hardships. They are forced to stand on their own feet, and nobody is willing to listen to their struggles because they’re considered legal adults. As a result, many of these young people decided to give up their lives due to social apathy.
Therefore, what King of Expressions Kim Seon Ho and his Seonhohada crusaders did was truly impressive. With this birthday donation, they created a new focus on the unheard struggle that these adolescents must face. And hopefully, Kim Seon Ho and Seonhohada will be able to move the hearts of more people to join their cause in helping and paying more attention to these adolescents.
