After facing intense allegations, actor Kim Seon Ho will continue to play in his first-ever film “Sad Tropics” (literal title) as scheduled.
Kim Seon Ho Will Not Be Dropped from His First Film “Sad Tropics”
On November 1st, the investment distributor of the film “Sad Tropics,” NEW, has released a statement concerning the status of Kim Seon Ho on the project. As reported on the Korean media outlet, Newsis, they stated, “After a long consideration, the production team has decided to continue filming with actor Kim Seon Ho within this year.”
Earlier, various brands cut their business ties with Kim Seon Ho when the accusations from his ex-girlfriend against him became viral. As a result, some brands remove his pictures from the advertisement.
Afterward, Kim Seon Ho decided to step down from the popular variety show KBS’ variety show 2 Days & 1 Night. In addition, two projects left him. Those are the omnibus film “Dog Days” and the romantic comedy “2 O’Clock Date.”
However, now the accusations against Kim Seon Ho have come to light. As a result, many brands have put his images back on their advertisement.
“Sad Tropics”
The upcoming movie “Sad Tropics” will be the debut of Kim Seon Ho on the silver screen. Director Park Hoon Jung, who helmed “The Witch,” will direct the film. In addition, actress Go Ara will also take part in the film.
“Sad Tropics” follows a young man with a Korean father and a Filipino mother. He dreams of becoming a professional boxer. However, when he travels to Korea to find his father, who abandoned him, he becomes involved with dangerous people.
The movie was supposed to start filming this November, but there has been no update concerning the schedule yet.

His role as Han Ji Pyeong in “Start Up,” has successfully made the audience feel the second lead syndrome.
Then, his stunning role as Hong Du Shik, a.k.a Hong Ban Jang in the recent Korean drama “Hometown Cha Cha Cha” has successfully warmth the audience’s hearts.
