On September 27, Korean media reported that young actress Kim So Hyun will be starring in new webtoon-adaptation drama, “Is It a Coincidence?”. It is the second reported drama that the actress is in talks to join, meaning that Kim So Hyun will be extremely busy this year and the next!
According to the agency’s report, the new production team had cast Kim So Hyun as the lead role, indeed. However, there is no clear explanation of whether the actress has confirmed her appearance yet.

Kim So Hyun’s upcoming drama comes from a famous webtoon in South Korea, “Is It a Coincidence?”. The original webtoon is a wonderful masterpiece by writer Nam Ji Eun and illustrator Kim In Ho. In fact, this specific webtoon marked the beginning of Naver Webtoon’s success.
The outstanding webtoon tells the romance story of two young people who started off as each other’s first love and became separated only to meet again coincidentally 10 years later.
Kim So Hyun is Scared of Falling in Love in the New Webtoon Drama
Kim So Hyun will portray the lead role, Lee Hong Joo. She is an animation producer who is scared of falling in love after her past experience of hurting in a relationship. With her delicate acting skills, Kim So Hyun is facing another challenge to act as an ordinary office worker in the drama and bring Lee Hong Joo character to life.
Expectations for this new drama are especially high. That is because the original webtoon has far high reputation in South Korea. And not only that, “Is It a Coincidence?” webtoon drama has fallen into the hands of the ‘Romance Master’ director Song Hyun Wook. He was the magic brain behind “The Golden Spoon”, “The King’s Affection”, and “The Beauty Inside”.
