“Second Shot at Love” Storyline
Han Geum Ju is a mechanic with 10 years of experience who is good at working and drinking. She was born into a family that loves alcohol and has always lived with alcohol. Though she considers herself a “moderate drinker,” she is actually a heavy drinker who struggles with addiction. One day, she unexpectedly reunites with Seo Yu Jun, her first love. She then decides to challenge herself to stop drinking.
Seo Yu Jun used to love alcohol, but now he hates it. Now, he is a doctor at Bocheon Health Center. Han Geum Ju and Seo Yu Jun were best friends, but somehow, their relationship ended in college, leaving pain in Yu Jun’s heart. Reunited in their 30s, their situation raises curiosity about what caused the rift between them and whether they will heal each other’s hearts.

This romance drama is the latest work of the talented new director-writer Jang Yoo Jung, who is known for her directorial debut with the movie “Finding Mr. Destiny” starring Gong Yoo and Lim Soo Jung in 2010. Her other works include “The Bros” in 2017 and “Honest Candidate” in 2020. She also had a guest role in the drama “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call” and was the primary host for the TV show “Black” Season 2.
The upcoming drama’s script was written by seasoned writers Myung Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun. They are known for their romance drama works. Some of her popular works are “Monthly Magazine Home” (2021), “A Poem a Day”(2018), “Drinking Solo” (2018), and “Ugly Miss Young Ae” (2008-2015).
