With its originality and quality, Korean cinema continues to increase its influence in the international film industry by participating in major international film festivals. In the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, five Korean films will feature in different sections from May 16 to May 27.

1. COBWEB (거미집) – Out of Competition section

- Screenwriter: Shin Yeon Shik
- Genres: Black comedy
- Cast: Song Kang Ho, Lim Soo Jung, Jeon Yeo Been, Oh Jung Se, Krystal Jung
Synopsis:
Cobweb set in the 1970s. Director Kim was labeled a “specialist in trash drama” by critics despite the success of his debut. He then insisted on changing the ending of his latest film, Cobweb. However, he believes he can create a masterpiece in just two days.

Synopsis:
Sleep is a movie about a newly married couple, Hyeon Soo (Lee Sun Kyun) and Soo Jin (Jung Yu Mi). However, one day the husband started doing strange things while sleeping (somnambulism). From then on, he turned into someone else every time he slept. It was as if someone was inside him. Even though Hyeon Soo received sleep treatment, his complex behaviors got worse. She also began to feel that her baby might be in danger.
