Kpop Idols with single-letter name
1. BTS V
When I searched ”V” on Google, amazingly, the search engine showed precisely what I was looking for. Despite the single-letter name, it seems that Kim Taehyung, aka BTS V, is on top search. Initially, he had three options of his stage name: Six, Lex, and V. His fellow teammates and agency said that ”V” fits him best. Therefore, the lead dancer of BTS decided to go with ”V,” which stands for ”Victory.”

The main dancer of THE BOYZ, Ji Chang Min, has his own reason for choosing ”Q” as his stage name. He once explained that he decided ”Q” because the letter gives him the feeling that everything is starting.
3. VIXX N
Cha Hak Yeon has a deep reason for choosing ”N” as his stage name. It was inspired by Japanese. In Japan, the last syllable of Cha Hak Yeon is pronounced ”en,” which means ”fate” or ”destiny.” N chose the name because he believed that it was his fate to be in VIXX and meet ST★RIGHT.

The stage name of INFINITE’s visual, Kim Myung Soo, was chosen because of his resemblance to the character L from the famous anime Death Note.

8. Shinhwa M
