Most Kpop idols are known for their eye-catching outfits in music videos and live performances. However, there are times when the stylists seem to hate their artists. Here are some Kpop idols who have had to wear the weirdest and worst outfit during their stage performances.
Kpop Idols Worst Stage Outfit
Nichkhun takes a high spot on this list for two reasons: his hairstyle and the awkward skirt. Nichkhun’s stylist seemed to play it safe by having him wear pants under the skirt, which only added to the overall awkwardness.
The legendary “Snow White sleeves” from EXO “Wolf” promotion still lingers in netizens’ minds. It was the worst Kpop stage outfit ever not only did netizens hate it, but even the idol himself was ‘traumatized.’
Netizens wondered whether the stylist had something against Haechan as they put him in awkwardly cropped pants for the “Cherry Bomb” performance. To make it look worse, the pants were also comically oversized, only in the butt part.
Another NCT worst stage outfit moment was during their performance for “Fire Truck.” None of the NCT members looked good in their outfits, but Yuta’s was the worst! Not only was the long skirt a strange addition to the outfit, but it also seemed incredibly awkward to dance in.
Despite Lisa being one of the most fashionable Kpop idols, they have had several outfit malfunctions since their debut. In one of their early stage performances, Lisa wore a multicolored tassel dress that made her resemble a “serving of cake.”
At BLACKPINK’s first online concert, while the other members wore sparkly, fitted dresses, Lisa’s outfit was said to look like a cabbage. She wore a yellowish-green ruffled dress and mismatched green boots. However, it is not Lisa if she didn’t nail the look!
Although Jang Wonyoung is known as one of the most beautiful Kpop idols, her “After LIKE” stage outfit is one of the worst ever! The awkwardly cropped pants and jacket left netizens questioning the stylist’s skills.
When Yuqi stepped onto the stage for the group’s Thailand press conference, netizens couldn’t help but share their intense dislike for the look. The “really awful” skirt and pants combo was too confusing for netizens.
NU’EST’s upbeat title track “Sleep Talking” pleased fans with its bright energy but had too much going on with the stage outfits. The group members and netizens agreed that it was far from their best.
2PM performed a special stage for “I’ll Be Back” that quickly became a meme from their odd styling. The revealing yet unusual outfits still shock netizens whenever they see them.
Although NMIXX isn’t afraid to experiment, the group’s “Love Me Like This” outfits went too far into uncharted territory for some. Netizens disliked the stage outfits so much that one claimed, “Their stylists just abandoned them for that comeback.”
