Prominent actors Lee Je Hoon and Han Ji Min have been named the new hosts for the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards in 2024, following Kim Hye Soo’s exit from the position.
Lee Je Hoon and Han Ji Min Named as the New MCs for the Blue Dragon Film Awards
On September 24, the Blue Dragon Film Awards announced that actors Lee Je Hoon and Han Ji Min will host the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards in 2024. They will be the successor to the role of Kim Hye Soo, who has stepped down as the MC of the prestigious ceremony after 30 years.
Famous actress Kim Hye Soo has hosted the show its 14th ceremony in 1993. She continued in this role until the 44th awards ceremony in 2023. At the 44th awards ceremony, she announced that she would step down from her MC role after an impressive 30-year tenure. For her dedication, the actress received a special Blue Dragon Award.
Lee Je Hoon and Han Ji Min Updates
Actor Lee Je Hoon made his acting debut in a short film called “True Litmus” in 2006. Since then, he has showcased his talents in various films, including “Noryang: Deadly Sea,” “I Can Speak,” and “Escape.”
In addition to his film work, he has also starred in hit dramas such as “Signal,” “Taxi Driver,” “Move to Heaven,” and “Chief Detective 1958.” Furthermore, his most-anticipated upcoming drama is “Signal 2,” where he will reunite with Kim Hye Soo and Jo Jin Woong.
The “Taxi Driver” actor won the Best New Actor award at the 32nd awards ceremony for his excellent performance in the movie “Bleak Night,” which was also his first award.
On the other hand, Han Ji Min debuted as a child actress in the SBS drama “All In” in 2003. She then made her film debut with “Blue Swallow” in 2005. Since then, she has starred in various films and dramas, including “Miss Baek,” “A Year-End Medley,” “Yi San,” “Rooftop Prince,” “The Light in Your Eyes,” “Our Blues,” and “Behind Your Touch.”Moreover, her highly anticipated new drama is “More Beautiful than Heaven.”
In recognition of her talent, Han Ji Min won the Best Actress Award at the 39th awards ceremony in 2018 for her portrayal in the movie “Miss Baek.”
Furthermore, the 45th Blue Dragon Film Awards in 2024 will mark Lee Je Hoon and Han Ji Min’s debut as hosts of the prestigious show. The ceremony will take place on November 29 at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul.
