Lee Jun Young to Make Special Cameo Appearance in Netflix New Drama, “Mask Girl”
Young idol actor prodigy Lee Jun Young has once again marked his name in one of Netflix new drama, “Mask Girl”. Following his packed schedule for various ongoing projects, including “May I Help You” with Lee Hyeri and “Brave Citizen” with Shin Hye Sun, Lee Jun Young still managed to make time and effort to mark his name with one more special appearance.
On November 10, Korean media reported that Lee Jun Young had confirmed to make a special cameo appearance in the upcoming Netflix drama, “Mask Girl”. According to the report, although he might only make a brief special appearance in the new drama, Lee Jun Young is expected to showcase a performance that leaves a strong impression.
What is “Mask Girl” New Drama About?
“Mask Girl” is a Netflix new drama starring Go Hyun Jung, Ahn Jae Hong, and former After School member, Nana. It is a webtoon adaptation project by Netflix that revolves around an ordinary office worker with a particular obsession with appearance.
Go Hyun Jung and Nana will double play the role of Kim Mo Mi, an ordinary office worker who has been dreaming of an on-stage performance under the bright light since she was a child. But as she grows older, she finds that her appearance is considered “ugly”.
Still, since she has a pretty good-looking body, Kim Mo Mi decides to live a double life: an ordinary office worker by day, and a masked streamer at night who goes by the name “Mask Girl”.
At the same time, Ahn Jae Hong will play the role of Joo Oh Nam, Kim Mo Mi’s office colleague who has a complex about having an ugly appearance. He is a huge fan of “Mask Girl” and discovered that her real identity is Kim Mo Mi. He started developing a crush on her, and both got involved in a shocking case.
Finally, Yeom Hye Ran will play Joo Oh Nam’s mother, Kim Kyung Ja, who thinks of her son as her whole world. That is especially when she raised her son by herself after her divorce. That is why when her son goes missing, Kim Kyung Ja begins searching for him herself.
Lee Jun Young Special Appearance: What’s His Role?
So, what does it make Lee Jun Young then? Will he turn into another protagonist who provides assistance in the search for Joo Oh Nam? Or will Lee Jun Young become the villain who kidnaps the main character in the new drama?

Unfortunately, Netflix has yet revealed Lee Jun Young’s role in the new drama. However, Lee Jun Young had previously attended the “Mask Girl” after-party, in which he briefly introduced his role.
According to Lee Jun Young, he would play the role of Choi Buyoung, a failed idol who turned into a pimp.

Finally, this special cameo appearance marks another hardworking attempt of Lee Jun Young on his road to becoming South Korea’s top leading actor.
Along with “May I Help You” and “Brave Citizen”, the actor is currently working on a bunch of other projects, including “Royal Loader” and “Na Rae, Kicking Out” dramas. And he will eventually rise even higher next year with upcoming movies, “The Wilderness” and “More Painful Than Sadness”.
