On September 23, an exclusive report from Star News revealed that Lee Junho of 2PM has been cast as the main lead in the upcoming Korean drama “Typhoon Boss.” In addition, the report states that the series is currently being considered for a slot on tvN next year.

“Typhoon Boss” depicts the struggles of a small family business during the turbulent International Monetary Fund (IMF) currency crisis in 1997. The story highlights the challenges and resilience faced by those affected during this difficult time.
Lee Junho will play Kang Tae Poong, the CEO of Typhoon Company, who struggles to protect the family business that his late father cherished. This drama will follow Kang Tae Poong’s journey through facing the extraordinary pressure of the IMF crisis, overcoming hardships, and growing into a “real adult” with the people around him.
“Typhoon Boss” will be director Lee Na Jung’s next project after her last project, “See You in My 19th Life.” The talented female director has gained recognition for her directing skills. Some of her hit dramas, including “Oh My Venus,” “Fight for My Way,” “Love Alarm,” and “Mine.”
