On April 20, Korean media Newsen reported that Lee Seung Gi faced difficulties in selling his upcoming 2023 concert tickets.
According to the report, over 130 seats remained unsold for the 477-seat venue at Link Arts Center Payco Hall. It is the Seoul venue where Lee Seung Gi would hold his upcoming 2023 concert.
The report further mentioned that since ticket sales were available, Lee Seung Gi failed to sell an average of 33 seats each day. That is why on April 20 at 9 AM KST, the media recorded over 130 empty seats during the 4 days the ticket sales were open.
The 2023 Lee Seung Gi Asia Tour Concert “The Dreamers Dream – Chapter 2” is the first Asia tour in 4 years since his 2019 fan meeting. The singer-actor will be holding his solo concerts in 4 other major cities overseas: Tokyo, Osaka, Taipei, and Manila, along with the opening act in Seoul.
While anticipation originally skyrocketed due to his comeback as a singer after a massive dispute with Hook Entertainment, media reported that the tables had slightly turned.

I think it’s heartbreaking that Seung Gi lost popularity due to his in laws. The guy is the same exact person people supposedly liked him for (hard working, respectful, talented, loyal, etc) and now all of that no longer matters because he’s not the idealized image they wanted anymore.
Although his loss in popularity hurts, I have gained a new found admiration and appreciation for his true fans who have continued to support and show up for him. It’s easy to like and support someone when everything is sunshine & rainbows but the true measure of a person is what they do when the chips are down. Kudos to the fans who pushed the real numbers regarding his concert sells. Much love for the people who not only excitedly bought tickets but have also been promoting the tour. And so much respect and admiration for Seung Gi himself. He’s going through alot and yet he’s staying resilient, passionate, and determined. I’m sure each concert will be
a special experience for all those that attend.
