The recent news and update on the drug case involving “Parasite” actor Lee Sun Kyun revealed another negative test result. 

On November 26, YTN reported a possibility that Lee Sun Kyun was not really involved in the drug case. According to the latest news from the police on November 24, the National Forensic Service had submitted an additional detailed report on Lee Sun Kyun’s body hair analysis to the Incheon Police. The test revealed another negative reaction to illegal substances.

Recently, police obtained a court warrant for a body search and seized additional body hair samples from Lee Sun Kyun. They sent the samples to the National Forensic Service for another in-depth analysis.

However, “Parasite” actor Lee Sun Kyun received negative results for all the previous tests in the drug case. Both urine and hair sample analyses did not show any traces of illegal substances in his body. However, the leg hair samples were too light for evaluation.

Then, more evidence proved Lee Sun Kyun’s innocence in the drug case after analysis of his armpit hair returned negative results, adding more spice to the drama.

Since all the tests have been negative, Lee Sun Kyun’s lawyers told YTN over the phone that he may never have used drugs at all. They said that Lee has always said he didn’t use drugs during the police investigation. And the recent test result proved a stronger statement that he didn’t know the substance was a drug.

Yet, it doesn’t mean that Lee Sun Kyun is free from the case’s drama. Instead, recent news revealed another shocking revelation that affected Lee Sun Kyun’s relationship with his wife, Jeon Hye Jin.

A recent news report from KBS revealed a shocking phone conversation between “Parasite” actor Lee Sun Kyun and the arrested room hotel manager. 

On November 24, KBS News 9 aired an exclusive report containing a phone call between Lee Sun Kyun and the manager of a Gangnam room salon, where they expressed suspicions about Lee Sun Kyun’s drug use.

Initially, this phone call was to prove Lee Sun Kyun’s claims that he had consumed a medicine without knowing it was illegal. However, once the recording played, it resulted in another drama on the Lee Sun Kyun drug case.

During the phone conversation, Lee Sun Kyun conveyed his feelings to the room salon manager despite his married status to wife Jeon Hye Jin. The prominent actor revealed he liked the manager, returning her feelings towards him.

Lee Sun Kyun: “I really like you too. You know that, right?”

Room Salon Manager: “I don’t know. You don’t really express it.”

Another phone conversation also implied a moment when Lee Sun Kyun consumed marijuana with the room salon manager. Due to this recorded phone conversation, the police began a full-fledged investigation regarding Lee Sun Kyun’s drug case.

“When you smoked marijuana beside me, I didn’t smoke it. It stays in the body for a long time. You can see it in the test kit.”

Still, Lee Sun Kyun insisted that everything was only a false claim against him. Even more, when the manager stated he had taken the drugs 5 times, Lee Sun Kyun denied his involvement through his lawyer to KBS.

Based on a Japanese series, “Home Drama!”, the story revolves around a group of people who have lost their families in accidents at a holiday spot. Then, these people come together to live as a family, sharing their pain.

Helmed by director Ra Ha Na, who worked on “Green Mothers’ Club”, this new drama is about people creating a family not through blood but by sharing life experiences.

Jeon Hye Jin has often been in her husband’s shadow since their marriage. Despite her impressive acting skills shown in various dramas, “Search: WWW”, “Stranger Season 2”, and “Not Others”, most people became aware of Jeon Hye Jin once Lee Sun Kyun’s name came out.

Finally, the recent development in the drug case confirmed the innocence of BIGBANG G-Dragon. In relation to this update, the room salon manager changed her statement and revealed more details in the case.

An exclusive report from KBS news on November 24 revealed a statement from the manager, claiming the involvement of 2 more celebrities in Lee Sun Kyun’s drug case. She told the police that an actor had visited her room salon on December 7, 2022, with BIGBANG G-Dragon (GD).

According to her statement, she had never directly witnessed GD taking the drugs indeed. However, she noticed that there was cocaine left on a tray inside the bathroom of the room where GD and the actor had booked.

“There was cocaine left on a tray in the bathroom where GD and the actor were present.

This actor went to the bathroom where the cocaine was found several times, stayed there for a long time, and looked very high even though he didn’t drink alcohol.”

Along with the actor, the manager also mentioned the involvement of another famous singer. She stated that this singer took drugs prior to February this year. According to the manager, this singer consumed the drugs from a tray, and they liked cocaine the most.

The police were also investigating a text message from the singer claiming, “Yes, I did it,” to reveal further what “it” means. However, they did not start the basic fact-finding process about the singer yet.

In the end, after all the negative test results, the police still cannot prove Lee Sun Kyun’s and GD’s involvement in the drug case. They simply promise to investigate thoroughly.

“We will thoroughly investigate the reported matters and proceed with the investigation in stages.”
