MAMAMOO Hwasa set to leave RBW Entertainment
Hwasa’s decision to leave RBW Entertainment has been announced. Her contract with RBW will officially expire at the end of June, and she is now making arrangements to join a new label.
Previously, RBW did not disclose any information about Hwasa’s contract. The agency mentioned that Hwasa was still under their management and in discussions for a contract renewal.
“Hwasa’s contract period has not yet ended. MAMAMOO is currently conducting a US tour, and we are coordinating whether she will renew the contract.”

Based on the recent update, it appears that RBW and Hwasa were unable to reach mutually agreeable terms and decided to part ways.
Hwasa is the second MAMAMOO member to leave RBW.
In June 2021, the contracts of the MAMAMOO members expired, and each member made different decisions. Solar and Moonbyul renewed their contracts for three years, while Hwasa opted for a two-year renewal.
Meanwhile, Wheein decided to depart from RBW and transferred to THE L1VE to focus on her solo career. Fortunately, despite Wheein’s departure, MAMAMOO continues their promotions as a four-member group.
MAMAMOO Hwasa to join hands with PSY in P NATION
Following the expiration of her contract, it has been revealed that Hwasa is preparing to transfer to another agency. Reports suggest she is getting ready to sign an exclusive contract with P NATION, led by Kpop icon PSY.
However, P NATION has mentioned to Korean media outlet that the contract has yet to be confirmed and is still under discussion.

Rumors suggest that Hwasa’s transfer to P NATION is influenced by Psy and P NATION’s ability to support solo artists in showcasing their talents. There is anticipation surrounding the potential synergy between Psy and Hwasa if they indeed end up working together under the same label.
Currently, Hwasa is appearing on tvN’s entertainment program Dancing Queens on the Road, where she travels across the country with senior idols Kim Wan Sun, Uhm Jung Hwa, Lee Hyori, and BoA, delivering impressive performances on legendary stages in each episode.
