BTS is getting closer to their new album release, ‘Map of the Soul: 7’. As sheduled, on February 21, their fourth studio album will be out. On February 28, they will release their Official Music Video for Lead Single.
RM explained that the title “7” is very heavy for them. The title is powerful. “Seven can symbolize many different things. It symbolizes the number of BTS members and the years we have spent together,” RM added.
Concept 4 – Comic Book
BTS finally has released its final batch of ‘Map of the Soul: 7’ concept photos. It is contrary to the previous sets, which are more dramatic: in white, dark angels, and godly feast. In the latest series, they focus on the personalities of each member. Their official press release described this set as BTS’s ‘true selves.’
Concept 3 – Godly Feast
On February 12, BTS shared a new look of their comeback concept. Contrary to their ‘dark’ previous set, they look elegant in this concept. BTS members are holding golden chalices and posing at a lavish table covered with fruits and lobsters. It is meant to convey the group’s “sense of calling and will.”
Concept 2 – Dark Angels
This second concept is darker than the first one. They are wearing black wings (and corsets too!), depicting as fallen angels. However, many quickly notice both sets of concept photos involve feathers, most likely an illusion to their lead single “Black Swan.”
Concept 1 – in White
For the first set, BTS members are dressed in all-white outfits against a dark background. With a blank expression, they are sitting in a barren place and dangling their feet over a bottomless pit in a room. It looks like a nineties Nine Inch Nails music video. According to a press release from Big Hit Entertainment, this set is portraying swans who desire for perfection.
