What if these Kpop idols joined different groups, like Jin joined EXO, Jisoo joined Red Velvet, or Miyeon and Jinny joined BLACKPINK?

When you are going to be a Kpop idol, it will never be an easy journey. You could be trainees for years, and end up not debuting with the expected group. Some Kpop idols got rejected or dropped out of their trainee programs or decided to set out.

What If These Kpop Idols Joined Different Groups?

1. G-Dragon

Since the age of eight, the certified Kpop genius, G-Dragon, trained with SM Entertainment. Lee Soo-man discovered the young Kwon Ji-yong. However, at the age of 13, he got interested in rapping and moved to YG Entertainment. If he decided to stay in SM Entertainment, G-Dragon might have debuted in TVXQ instead of Big Bang.

2. Miyeon

At first, Miyeon was planned to join a nine-piece girl group BLACKPINK. But YG boss and music executive Yang Hyun-suk changed his mind and decided to debut BLACKPINK as a four-member girl group.

After spending five years training with YG Entertainment, Miyeon decided to leave the company and move to Cube Entertainment. She became a member of the rising girl group (G)I-DLE.

3. BamBam

The Thai rapper was initially not included to GOT6 (before they became GOT7). However, his destiny showed him a way to debut with GOT7 when he competed against YG Entertainment trainees in the survival show Win: Who Is Next. With BamBam’s performance, JYP’s Park Jin-young decided to sign him.

Though GOT7 has left JYP, fans won’t forget Kunpimook Bhuwakul or known as BamBam.

4. Shownu

Meanwhile, Shownu almost became a member of GOT7. However, he left JYP due to conflicts. His journey to being a Kpop idol continued as a backup dancer for Lee Hyori. Shownu then appeared on the casting show No.Mercy, and signed to join MONSTA X.

5. Jisoo

Who has ever thought if Jisoo is not in BLACKPINK, how the group will be? Before debuting with BLACKPINK, Jisoo’s visual and voice have made her a shoo-in for Red Velvet.

SM agent scouted Jisoo when attending YG Entertainment concert as a trainee. Had she decided to join SM, she might be joining Red Velvet today.

6. Jin

The worldwide handsome and recently titled as the ‘top male god beauty of the world’, was initially approached by SM manager in his hometown, Gwacheon. At that time, he was still in middle school and thought that the offer is a scam and never responded to it. Had Jin replied and accepted the offer, his fans would be called EXOL instead of ARMY.

7. Jinny

As a fan of G Dragon and CL, Jinny followed her idols path to become a trainee under YG Entertainment. She was once mentioned to be “future 2NE1” along with her groupmates: Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, Lisa, Miyeon, Lee Seo-yeon, Kim Eun-bi, and Jung Hanna.

However, in 2017, Jinny decided to leave YG and joined several shows like Produce 48. In 2019, Jinny finally debuted with Secret Number under Vine Entertainment.
