Indonesian NCTzen Apologized to NCT 127 Members for the Heartbreaking Crowd Crush Incident in Jakarta Concert

The first day of the NCT 127 concert in Jakarta had to stop earlier than scheduled after 30 fans fainted due to a crowd crush incident. This issue happened on November 4 at NCT 127 concert in Jakarta, precisely at the Indonesian Convention Exhibition BSD, Tangerang – Banten.

It was particularly heartbreaking for NCT 127 members, especially when it happened just a week after the Itaewon tragedy.

tandain mba-mba ini, malu-maluin aja.

Due to this incident, Indonesian NCTzen decided to apologize publicly to NCT 127 members. Not only did they put #SAYSORRYFORNCT127 as a trending topic on Twitter, some NCTzen who attended the second day of NCT 127 Jakarta concert decided to hold up the message: WE’RE SORRY URICHIL using their phones.

This message is to show that fans were terribly sorry for the behavior of some irresponsible fans that had caused harm to others and resulted in disappointment for NCT 127 members.

NCT 127 Members Responded to the Apology Messages

During the second day of Jakarta concert, NCT 127 members noticed that some fans were holding up apology signs.

NCT 127 main vocalist, Jaehyun, particularly noticed the sign and decided to respond to the message directly. According to Jaehyun, there was no need for NCTzen to feel sorry about what happened.

“First of all, I saw some people holding signs that say ‘sorry’ because of the performance yesterday. However, our NCTzens have nothing to be sorry about.”

Due to the previous crowd crush incident that resulted in 30 fans fainting on Day 1, Indonesian police decided to add two additional measures during the second day. The first was to widen the distance between the stage and the audience. And finally, they requested no events involving throwing balls or merchandise from the artists. It was all to maintain everyone’s safety.

[INFO] 221105 The police revealed requirements regarding the implementation of the #NCT127 concert, "Distance between the audience and the stage is widened and there will be no ball or NCT merchandise throwing events."
