Netflix Confirms “Bloodhouds” Season 2 with Lee Sang Yi and Woo Do Hwan Return as Lead Actors
According to an exclusive report by Sports Seoul on April 29, the action crime Korean drama series “Bloodhounds” on Netflix will return with Season 2. In addition, Lee Sang Yi and Woo Do Hwan will reprise their roles in the new season.
According to the report, the filming of “Bloodhounds” Season 2 is set to begin in the second half of this year. In response to the report, Netflix’s representative stated, “We are currently in positive discussions, but nothing is final yet.”
Cast of “Bloodhounds” Korean Drama
The action-packed series, “Bloodhounds” is an adaptation of a webtoon by Jeong Chan. Released on June 2023, the suspenseful series has eight episodes available to binge-watch. Moreover, the series became the 9th most popular Korean drama series on Netflix in 2023.
It beautifully portrays not only the high-octane fight scenes but also the deep friendships between the two determined leads and their good-hearted companions.
This action noir series follows two ex-marines, Gun Woo and Woo Jin, who are talented in boxing. In the series’s first season, they embarked on a journey of self-discovery. They undergo intense training to protect Gun Woo’s mother from debts and fight a cruel loan shark, Myeong Gil. In the end, they are finally free to reclaim their victorious lives.
The production team has not released the official storyline for the upcoming season. Furthermore, both Netflix and the drama officials have yet to announce the supporting cast members who will be featured in the series.
“Bloodhounds” Season 2 Release Date
According to the report, the production team plans to start filming “Bloodhounds” Season 2 in the second half of 2024. Consequently, we might be able to watch the series’ new season on OTT platforms by early next year.
