The Director of Netflix Original Series ‘D.P.’ Reveals The Plans To Have The Season 2
Deserter Pursuit or ‘D.P.,’ which director Han Joon-hee directed, is a Netflix Original crime-drama series based on the Webtoon by Kim Bo-tong entitled ‘D.P. Dog Day.’
The Netflix Original Korean drama series garnered tremendous interest from the viewers. As a result, it stayed on the Top 10 contents for 52 days since its premiere on August 27th, 2021.

‘D.P.’ Season 2 Hints
Finally, there were hints about the upcoming sequel from the producer and music director of the series, Primary. On October 20th, director Primary shared about the director Han Joon-hee’s plans for the sequel during the interview at Melon Station.
He said he met the director Han Joon-hee, and the director confirmed that there would be season 2 for the Netflix series ‘D.P.’
Moreover, Primary continued that he is expected to produce the opening OST for season two. In addition, the original soundtrack for ‘D.P.’ season 2 will be released in an English version.
Prior to the ‘D.P.’ season 2 news, the drama’s lead actor, Jung Hae In, once hinted about the drama’s sequel during his interview with Korean news outlet News1.
“I felt blank when I see ‘D.P.’ on its premiere day. Since there has been so much interest and praise for the drama, I am looking forward to D.P. Season 2. I’ve heard that the director and the writer are already working on the script. They’ve started working. I’d like to show my character’s growth in D.P. Season 2.”

‘D.P.’ Season 2 Release Date
Citing from Korean News outlet SBS, director Han Joon-hee said,
“It hasn’t been finalized yet, but I’m discussing with writer Kim Bo-tong about what kind of story that we will tell if it continues to the next season. We need to think more in order to show more than season 1 while maintaining the tone of ‘D.P.,’ and I think it will take a little longer.”
