tvN Announces New Korean Variety Show “Handsome Guys” Cast Members and BTS Jin as First Guest Star
On October 28, an exclusive report from Star News revealed that PD Ryu Ho Jin’s new variety show “Handsome Guys” has already started filming in Busan.
tvN’s new variety show, “Handsome Guys,” features six handsome guys who will travel across the country to find unique K-themed attractions. Additionally, the travel format will contain quizzes about South Korea.
PD Ryu Ho Jin, who led the production, is known for his talent in creating exciting variety shows that combine travel and thrilling activities. His first popular variety show was KBS’s “2 Days & 1 Night.” Moreover, he moved to tvN in 2019 and has since released a lineup of exciting travel variety shows, including “Where On Earth?”, “Hometown Flex,” and “Unexpected Business.”
“Handsome Guys” Cast Members
The first cast member of “Handsome Guys” is actor Cha Tae Hyun, known for his role in “Moving.” The upcoming variety show will mark a reunion between actor Cha Tae Hyun and PD Ryu Ho Jin. Their last collaboration was in “Unexpected Business” in the United States.
The second cast member is actor Lee Yi Kyung, who was recognized for his role in “Marry My Husband.” The third cast member is Kim Dong Hyun, a retired mixed martial artist turned entertainer known as the main host of “The Iron Squad.”
The fourth cast is Oh Sang Uk, a South Korean right-handed saber fencer. This new variety show will be his second time as a regular member of a variety show, following his appearance in “Racket Boys” in 2021.
The fifth cast member is actor Shin Seung Ho, known for his role in “Alchemy of Souls.” The upcoming variety show “Handsome Guys” will be his first time taking the role as a regular cast member.
The sixth cast member will be a special guest star who joins the cast members in each episode. For the first episode of Handsome Guys,” the special guest star will be Jin from BTS.

Kim Seokjin, also known as Jin from BTS, is dubbed “Worldwide Handsome” for his stunning visuals. His appearance in this upcoming variety show is a perfect fit for him.
Since his discharge from military service, Jin has been busy with various activities. He started with a fan meeting, continued as a torchbearer for the 2024 Paris Olympics, and has joined several variety shows. His latest appearances include “The Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island” and “I Love Everyone’s Zoo.”
Furthermore, the singer regularly releases content from his “Run Jin” variety show on BTS’s YouTube channel. Fans are also looking forward to his next variety show, “Kian’s Bizarre B&B,” with Kian84 and Ji ye Eun. This show will mark his debut on Netflix.
In addition to his activities on various shows, the singer is also active in the fashion industry. This year, he has been chosen as the new ambassador for Gucci, Fred Jewelry, and Alo Yoga.
Despite being busy with non-music activities, the oldest member of BTS is still active in music. He is currently focusing on his solo projects while other members are still serving in the military. Recently, he released the pop-rock single “I’ll Be There.” The song is the first single from his upcoming solo album, “Happy,” slated for release on November 15.
