New Kpop Boy Groups Ready to Debut in 2022 – Vote for Your Favorite Now!

2022 certainly will be a huge year for Kpop groups. Although not as many as rookie Kpop girl groups, these new Kpop boy groups are ready to debut in 2022. Who are they and who’s your favorite? Vote at the end of the article.

New Kpop Boy Groups to Debut in 2022

1. TRENDZ

Havit, Leon, Yoonwoo, Hankook, ra.L, Eunil, and Yechan become the first new Kpop boy group debut in 2022. TRENDZ (트렌드지) is a 7-member group under Interpark Music Plus. They debut on January 5, 2022, with ‘Blue Set Chapter 1. TRACKS’ album. The title track, ‘TNT (Truth&Trust) music video, has reached 1 million views on YouTube (as per February 8).

“It has a dual meaning. It also means ‘Truth and Trust’ and ‘TNT’ bombs. It contains the worldview of TRENDZ that pursues freedom by exploding bombs in the dark and fog.”

2. Trainee A

Formed in early 2021, Trainee A is ready to become one of the Kpop boy groups debuting in 2022. Many fans speculate that the 7-member boy group will debut under HYBE Labels. Trainee A currently consists of Yorch Yongsin, Leo, Sangwon, Woochan, James, JJ, and Jihoon. In January, Trainee A dropped a video, ‘Can we debut..? [A-Road] EP.1’, hinting at their debut this year. However, there is no exact debut date for this new Kpop boy group.

3. TEMPEST

TEMPEST (템페스트) is one of the Kpop boy groups ready to debut in 2022 under Yuehua Entertainment. The group consists of Hanbin, Hyeongseop, Hyuk, LEW, Hwarang, Eunchan, and Taerae and is set to debut on February 21. TEMPEST dropped a video, ‘TEMPEST VISUAL CLIP,’ showing off dazzling visuals of each member on February 7 following their debut trailer in January.

4. JYP Loud

One of the Kpop boy groups ready to debut in 2022 is JYP Loud (JYP 라우드 – temporary name). The group was formed during the SBS audition program ‘LOUD.’ Originally, the group consists of 9 members, but 4 of them were eliminated during the show and left 5 final members:  Yoon Min, Lee Gyehun, Amaru, Keiju, and Lee Donghyeon in the group.

5. PNation Loud

Another group formed during the SBS audition program ‘LOUD’ is PNation Loud. Similar to JYP Loud, the group name is just a temporary before their debut. The new Kpop boy group, PNation Loud, consisting of 7 members: Choi TaeHun, Woo KyungJun, Jang HyunSoo, Cheon Junhyeok, EunHwi, and Oh Sungjun, is expected to debut in 2022.

6. Blank2y

Previously known as Keystone Boyz, Blank2y (블랭키 – pronounced blank-key) currently consists of Youngbin, Donghyuk, Siwoo, and Taewoo. Although the debut date of the new Kpop boy group is not set, they have scheduled a weekly reality show starting on March 6, 2022. Blank2y is expected to be one of promising new Kpop boy groups in 2022.

7. &AUDITION

I-LAND contestants (K, Nicholas, EJ, and Taki) who are not debuting with ENHYPEN plan to debut with a new boy group. In the meantime, the group is named after the global debut project, &Audition. However, they’ll start their journey in Japan instead of South Korea.

8. BRANDNEWZ

BRANDNEWZ (브랜뉴즈) was formed in November 2020 under Brand New Music. Currently, the group consists of Eunho, Steve, Hyunseung, Eunsang, Hyeongsuk, Wonho, Sehyeon, Kyungmun, and Sion. Although there is no specific date for the Kpop boy group debut yet, they have regularly uploaded vlogs on their official YouTube channel. It seems that BRANDNEWZ will be one of the most favorite new Kpop boy groups in 2022.

9. NCT Hollywood

During SM Congress 2021, the agency announced that they plan to open an audition for wide-age-range American boys. The audition program is a collaboration between SM Entertainment and MGM Worldwide Television Group. Although there are still pros and cons among NCTzens, NCT Hollywood is speculated to debut later in 2022.
