Despite the previous controversies, global legend PSY continued his “Summer Swag” concert 2022 from July 15 – 17. Today, Korean citizens begin receiving the aftermath of the huge event.
On July 26, Korean media reported that PSY concert 2022 has played a huge part in the increasing number of COVID-10 cases in South Korea. Furthermore, with a number reaching 100,000 COVID-19 cases, authorities confirmed that some of these cases happened after the patients went on a large-scale performance involving spraying water.

On the same day, various posts emerged in Korean online communities stating that some friends and relatives tested positive for COVID-19 after attending PSY “Summer Swag” concert 2022.
A community post on July 21 stated, “My nephew got COVID-19 after attending the water show in Seoul last weekend. And more confirmed cases came from the people who came to the show that day”.
Another post came from a netizen who attended the concert on July 17, “I didn’t take off my two-layered masks even when I was screaming. But after the show, I got COVID-19.”
Other fans also testified about his girlfriend being COVID-19 positive after attending the water show.
Authorities Are Working on An Investigation
Indeed, many people are suspicious that PSY “Summer Swag” concert 2022 is the alleged cause of the increasing COVID-19 cases. However, South Korean authorities are still investigating whether PSY “Summer Swag” concert 2022 was truly the group infection cause.
